That is too bad.  As I recall, though, Mt. Union only had just over 1800 for their first playoff game at home last year against Hope.  I guess it depends on who they (Mt. Union) are playing.

Or who Ohio State is playing
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

As far as the attendance at th TCNJ & RPI game. If anyone has ever seen the size of the field and bleachers. There was standing room only!!! It was a great turn-out from both schools.

I don't know anything about RPI's facilities but if the reported attendance for the game vs. TCNJ was just 419, then that makes me wonder what's up.  Either RPI really exaggerated their home attendance numbers for the rest of the season or they NCAA missed some bodies on Saturday.

RPI vs. Rochester: 1200 in attendance.  RPI vs. Merchant Marine: 3500.  RPI vs. St. Lawrence: 2500.  RPI vs. Utica: 1200.  RPI vs. not reported.  Something doesn't add up.
OAC Champs: 1942 (one title ties us with Ohio State)

Never is the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  Unless it's another OAC school coming in.

And I'm not sure I believe the attendance # from yesterday.  Seemed more like 2,500 to 3,000.

I agree, it seemed as the west stands were fairly full and the east stands were slightly less than half full, had to be near 2500. Yes, the weekend of thanksgiving is usually a light crowd, but hopes that some students will be hanging around and enjoying the game, though normally they are emptied out for the break.
Really great to see Jason Trusnik get the shot and even better that the Jets beat the Steelers!!! At least that was one NY team i was cheering for this weekend!  ;D  What's even more nice is to see another fellow OACer and JCU grad, London Fletcher  still "Dealing Destruction" with the Washington Redskins, the dude is awesome still after 10 yrs in the big time! Can still remember him against MUC, man he was an animal, but somehow LK found a way to elude his wrath or keep him contained...thank goodness! What an athlete and overall terrific person.

Oops, my post about unhatched chickens (or eggs) caused an edit and -k 4me!  So, I deleted my post.   :-*

I also remember Fletcher getting thrown out of his last college game ;D

hey TOPH why is it each time you post you have to include a personal dig? can't your football take stand on its own? no, i'm not still in school, i was a senior a few years ago, the year you came on this board and blasted that a longtime poster said something about john carroll on the radio then i think he came on with the audio from the game and proved how false you were. yeah i've been a long time reader never thought i'd post till this year and have never had a problem till today i say i think mount union will win big, etc, and you have to start the attacks.  i guess you don't learn do you?  btw, baldwin-wallace is a college not a university.  we each have our opinion. it would be nice if it could be left to that.  tomorrow we'll know simple enough who was right and who was wrong.  i'd like to talk with you more about this tomorrow, minus the digs, whether you are right or i am.

I was right.  Thanks for that.  Sidenote:  You really might want to think about using the Shift key.  It makes your posts so much easier to read.

I guess I don't understand what this means, and since everyone is saying it I'd like to. Does it mean that people don't go to Mt. Union games b/c they are going to the Ohio State games?

Are there really that many people from Alliance making the drive up to Columbus, and in this case down to Ann Arbor?

tags- it's not that there are a lot of people making the trip to the game, but a lot of people will stay home and watch the osu game rather than attend the muc game live.
They should have practiced harder.

Especially the 1st round of the playoffs where MUC has historically won easily.

OSU/Michigan especially.  By the way, Tags, Alliance is North of C-Bus and South of Ann Arbor, so wouldn't your directions be reversed?

reality check

After watching the SNF game last night I have to ask:

Are the New England Patriots becoming the Mount Union College of the NFL?

Second question:

If yes, then what does that make Josh McDaniels?

Very good at his job with very, very, very, very, very, very, very good personel.  How insane was that last night?  7 straight touchdowns?  To paraphrase Dan Hawkins...IT'S NFL FOOTBALL!  IT'S THE AFC!  THIS AIN'T NFL EUROPA.  YOU GET 4 DOWNS TO TRY TO STOP THE OPPOSING OFFENSE.  THEY PUT UP 49 ON YOU, THAT'S 7 POSSESSIONS!  Go play NFL Europa, brother.  Go play NFL Europa.

How does that happen?

JK

Congrats to Cap and Coach Collins on another great season.  I think it could be said that they overachieved a bit this year, especially considering all the injuries.

I was a bit busy this past week with work and trying to find post-Army employment, so I didn't have a lot of time to post.  I did throw a post out there early in the week, but it got lost a bit in the flood of east region posters- MUC fans arguments.  Of course, I didn't want to throw out a lot of "Capital has a tough matchup" stuff... we all knew they did.  I didn't like the draw from the start, so rather than come up with ways that Cap could "hopefully" win, I just kept it to myself and hoped the D could carry the day and the Crusaders would allay my fears.  Alas, they didn't, but they certainly gave it a great shot.  Nothing to be ashamed of.  It really is a great time to be a Crusader fan these days.

Hopefully all these guys can come back healthy next year and Alexander can get another year of eligibility.  The D loses a few key parts (Starks, Bucci come to mind), but there were several underclassmen who saw time and will step in.  Tough to say this with the success of the Rocky and Hausler teams, but next year might be Capital's best team in a very long time.

Good luck to MUC especially and the rest of those remaining in the playoffs the rest of the way.
