Happy Thanksgiving to all.  Safe travels and don't eat too much.

I'll see a lot of you Saturday at the game.

Peace!

A safe and happy Thanksgiving to all.

If you go to this page you will find a link to TCNJ Football Notes.  It's a pdf of about 13 pages of information.

Assuming both SJF and MUC make it to the finals of this bracket, is it safe to say that SJF is going to seem like a conference opponent in a year or so considering they'll face MUC at least 4 times by 2009?

skunks_sidekick

Yep Upstate!

And you KNOW what happens to all of Mount's conference opponents in the OAC errrr...Purple Patsy Conference!   ::)

It should be a lot of fun in a week or so, and carry right through into next year.  SJF just needs to get their job done this week, and then.....IT'S ON!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, especialy the players that can't get home. If I had a way, I'd cook the turkey for every one of you. Looks like TCNJ is bringing a big, bad defense this week, which could give us a test. Last week it was a big, bad offense that gave us a test. I think the Raiders can pass the test again, even though we do play in a powder puff conference. SJF keeps telling us they are coming, but they have to pass the test as well and they play in a reaaaaaaally tough conference. I hope they look far ahead of us, especially since we play in the powder puff conference and are not a threat anymore. See you all at the game, should be lots of parking spaces since school is on break and I don't see TCNJ bringing too many fans. Maybe they will and I will be surprised.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!  Used to be about this time I would be on my way to Alliance to retrieve one pumped up tight end and bring him home for a meal of Thanks.  Then back to the barracks, er.. ah... Dorm.
Peace.

And I'm still grateful for his clutch catches in the JCU triple overtime game.

PS You got a nice kid there. I miss him.

Happy Thanksgiving to all...

I enjoyed a day full of turkey and football.  Trusnik played on special teams all day for the Jets and luckily they had lots of opportunities forthe punt team since the offesne was so bad.

Trusnik got his second NFL tackle today although I missed it.  He came about a foot from blocking a punt in the first half as well.

RC - it's awesome to see "one of our own" getting his shot.  That is just a fantastic story!

All Mount fans......don't be surprised if Saturday's game is closer in score than we would expect if TCNJ's defense is as good as advertised.  We all have seen it before.  If TCNJ doesn't put up a serious challenge on offense, LK will play it close to the vest if he is securely in control of the game.  Especially with the prospect of Fisher coming in next week.

As I said last week....he is all about "moving on to next week however you can".  Style points don't matter to LK.

For What It's Worth...

I know TCNJ is supposed to have a great defense that ranks high nationally.  TCNJ comes into this game against MUC ranked nationally in many categories: 10th in total defense, 6th in rushing defense, 33rd in passing efficiency defense and 11th in scoring defense.

When MUC played ONU, the Polar Bears came in ranked 19th in total defense, 26th in rushing defense, 10th in scoring defense and 1st in the nation in turnover margin.

When MUC played BW, the Yellow Jackets came in ranked 13th in total defense, 43rd in rushing defense and 37th in scoring defense.

When MUC played CAP, the Crusaders came in ranked 2nd in total defense, 2nd in rushing defense, 8th in passing efficiency defense, 3rd in scoring defense and 1st in the nation in team sacks per game.

MUC is no stranger to playing very, very good defenses.  We will see if TNCJ follows suit like these other ranked defenses (getting shutout and losing by 35-45 points).

When I read about TCNJ's defense at work, I knew Capital was ranked #3 nationally.  Ok, I was wrong but intended to check out Capital and other better OAC teams when I arrived home.  Thanks for saving me the effort and clearing up some possible ill-placed concerns.
