Hmmm......on a serious note...it looks like the "weather gurus"   ::) have changed the forecast somewhat for Saturday.  Now..instead of snow/percipitation later in the day it's going to be in the morning.  High of 34.

Maybe Bethel has a secret weapon to feed their war machine.......we all realize god wants Bethel to win.   ;D

Yeah but WW hasn't won the big one yet and I would rather have WW playing Bethel this weekend than UMHB

Last week we would have rather played Wabash than St. John Fisher.  It all evens out in the end.

I will also be spending Friday night in Alliance.  I have a dinner thing in the early evening but would be free after that to attend a football gathering.

PS there is no way Mount's field will be as bad as Central. I remember games when it was snowing at game time with natural turf when Mount had better field conditions than that. Helps to have 150 JV's with snow shovels and brooms that can help keep the field clear. Rotating brush on the front of a tractor also beats driving pickup trucks around on your playing surface.

Guarantee you that the field is clear right now.

Who said "Let sleeping dogs Lie"?   I know who did not, Bethel HC.
Why would anyone say something about punching someones mouth.
This would be like going into the worse part of any city and calling people derogatory names.  Oh, I know, this is going to make these people fear you, it will not stir them up more.  I look forward to this game so much...
NEVER GIVE YOUR OPPONET MORE REASON TO FIGHT MORE THEN THEY WILL ,NEVER, LIKE TERRY BRADSHAW SAYS, "NOT FUNNY", also NOT SMART

AO

In football "punch in the mouth" is synonymous with "run the ball hard between the tackles all day".  He said the same thing about the Johnnie game; their fans, players and coaches didn't seem to care too much.

Maybe it's just a ploy to get Mount Union to load up against the run while Bethel plays a passing game that Mount wouldn't have prepared for as Bethel hasn't done it this year.

For posters who talks a lot about respect it is interesting how little you give to a team you have never played and happened to win the west region.

At least kick our @ss once before you completely write us off :)

I don't know that LK and crew are going to get caught up in what Johnson says.  Secondly, if Bethel hasn't had a high powered passing game all year, it doesn't make sense to try to impliment one now.  How effective is it going to be against the one of the best defenses in the country, with a QB with a gimpy arm, and untested so far this year?

We're simply offering the same level of respect that has been shown.  Most of our fans have not said that Bethel is a bad running team, or even a bad passing team.  We have pointed out that other good running teams have come up against Mount this year and have not faired well.  We have pointed out that even good passing teams have not yet faired well.  When the dust settles on Saturday afternoon, if Bethel wins, most of us will be more than happy to say congratulations and to give Bethel significant accolades for the win.  However, so far this year, we have had more than one team come in with high expectations, and Mount Union has had a pretty good track record of sending that team on their way with their tails tucked between their legs.  I got called out for starting to criticize UWW a few weeks ago for the same thing you're saying.  As I typed my response on that board, I began to realize just how foolish I was sounding.  Would you rather all the Mount Union fans say, "Gee, Bethel really is a great team and we have no chance of beating them this week"?

Just don't waste time expecting to win because of some general notion about Bethel being a running team and Mount has already beat running teams this year.  It's a new game every Saturday, and Bethel is the best team you will have faced thus far.
