Hmmm, wonder how the PRaiders would fare in the Aztec Bowl?  Against the National Champions or TeamUSA?

In the other other DIII game today, Team USA won in the Aztec Bowl.  Etta's Clay Ream had a sack and three tackles and ONU's Gunter and CAP's Starks played solid at defensive back.

SJF's Brennan Fortune also played as was expected.

So, GVSU stops at 40.  What is, now, the longest winning streak in the NCAA?  Mount at 37, or who/what?

bambord

I was kinda, sorta, hoping to go to Salem to see the PRaiders correct an error; i.e., the recent loss to UMHB.  Didn't want to see UWW - been there, done that.

After reading some of the UWW-UMHB writeups, the Purple Bowl may be a tough one, may be a monumental game.  Warhawks got the job done while having Beaver contained.  Danny Jones is the Warhawks Greg Micheli.  UWW d did a good job on Baylor running backs.

I think I'm getting nervous, help me out here...

Is this the most focused, dedicated, committed Raider yet?

Will they be caught "looking ahead" this week?  Have they been, ever, this year?

Maybe my concerns are misplaced/misguided.

I don't think this Raider team will be overconfident.  They seem very much about taking care of business.

I do think we will see a much better Whitewater team than we did the last two years.  It should be a great game in Salem and it will end with #10 for the Raiders!
12-0 = 13

The results for Round 4 and the spread for the Stagg Bowl have been posted.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

I don't think the statistics mean anything once you get to this time of the year.

I believe that this UWW team will be the best that MTU has faced in the past three years in Salem.

If MTU can prevail this year, UWW will be 3/4 of the way to becoming the "Buffalo Bills of Division 3 Football".  :)

I thought Rowan retired that title.

They didn't lose 4 years in a row.

Speaking of Rowan.  I see Mount Union's former favorite opposing coach 8) has taken the Fighting Blue Hens to the FCS Championship game.

Yeah, I watched that too. As a TCNJ fan I was never too fond of K.C. He's done well at Delaware and it seems like they have a monster QB. The biggest news seems to be that he's finally realized that looking cool  8) while wearing sunglasses 95% of the time takes a backseat to actually seeing what's going on out on the field.

skunks_sidekick

Yah I did notice that he didn't have "the shades" on.  Maybe he finally realized what a frickin' LOSER he was with those reflective, look how cool I am, shades on.  He seemed a bit more in control than from what I remember in his Rowan days.

I still can't stand that guy!  What an arrogant SOB!

Freebird

Great game played by Mount Union.  You truly have an incredible team that is head ands above any D3 team I have seen, including the 03 SJU team.

I could ramble on about how great you are but I think it has been well documented.  I also must say that the predictions the Mount posters offered were pretty much dead on.

Best of luck next week!!!

I think MUC is the favorite to win #10, but comparing stats between MUC playing in a depleted OAC versus WWW playing in the WIAC is dangerous.

My biggest concern heading into MUC/WWW Part 3 is Mount being complacent and over confident.   I'm also confident that Whitewater will have much better QB play this year with Jacobs gone.  I also have to think that they'll have  better offensive play calling this season as the new guy can't be as bad as the previous O coordinator.

Interesting perspective, hscoach.

I like Danny Jones' leadership intangibles for UWW which might be comparable to Micheli.

This should be a very good Stagg.
