I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

There is one good thing about the cold weather...your beer stays just as cold as when you first opened it.
Toph,
I had the pleasure of meeting your parents after the game Saturday.  Very nice people.    (Now I understand the name "Toph".  I never could figure that out).

My parents told me about that, and I appreciate the kind words.  You probably were left wondering how such fine people had a son like me.   ;)

It's funny, they get the best of both worlds.  Mount Union football, and then when basketball season rolls around, JCU men's basketball.  What a couple of front-runners.   :)

They should have practiced harder.

Hopefully a few of those fans will come to the game ready to make some noise and Salem can be the home away from home that Mount has enjoyed for years.

Since I can't "leave it on the field" anymore, I'll try to leave it in the stands :D

If the stark appearance of the Mount bookstore last night is any indication, there should one hell of a crowd. I've never seen that place so bare. Good luck trying to buy an XL t-shirt today.

The bookstore definitely carries a much more diverse assortment of wares than it did prior to the championship run.  I was quite impressed by the variety of items available.  It was getting picked through pretty heavily Saturday.

Does the bookstore ever set up a stand and sell some things at the Stagg?

In the sixties you had your choice of ONE sweatshirt, which was more blue than Purple, and it featured the lovely Mount Union seal

About the sold out tickets....... ???

I race over to Alliance on Monday to get there before they close for the day....and what do I find?  NO TICKETS!

I was like...huh?  The ticket lady said they were shipping up 250 more to arrive Tuesday.  Why does it seem we are always on the visitors side?  I mean it's not like the Salem folks don't know how well Mount travels.  I ended up calling the box office and getting my tickets that way.  End zone seats were all they had (A & E) if you wanted more than a few together.

Wonder how many tickets WW has sold?

I can't find a seating chart for the football stadium.  Anyone know where section C is?  If A is an endzon, I'm guessing around the 20 or so?

Also, hscoach said something to me earlier that often MUC is often on the visitor side because of where the cameras are set up for the game.  ESPN would rather show a full set of stands in the background and knows how well Mount travels for the Stagg.  My hunch is that we were the "home" team in terms of seating for the Bridgewater game?

The home team rotates between East and West each year.  Mount was put on the visitors' side a couple years ago even though they were the home team because of how well they travel.  ESPN's generic preplay shots come from the home side (so the viewer sees the visitor stands), they want to make the stadium look as full as possible.

EDIT:  Beat me to it jaypeter.  +k

There is another allotment coming and should already be there. You need to remember that Saturday afternoon four schools had tickets ready to sell. The losing schools need to return those tickets to the pool of available seats so there is always a second mailing of tickets to the winning schools. Either way, there are good seat available for walk up buyers on gameday. I've bought the best seats I've had at the Salem ticket booth. Guess they save good seats for the locals.

Doesn't matter, because Kevin and I spent the bulk of every Stagg on the hill in the South endzone. Best "seats" in the house. I watched the 92 yard Chuck Moore run and the Garcon leaping TD from there and have great memories of both. Also had the chance to "high five" Garcon after a TD two years ago. (Sorry Larry). All that for ten buck tickets. You can keep the Rose/Orange/Fiesta bowls

I doubt the NCAA permits the participating schools to sell their gear anywhere near the championship site.  The NCAA usually has some nice stuff for sale at their stands in and around the stadium.  I would doubt anyone would be turned away from the game because of a sell out, but you may not get to sit in the area you want.  The year I went I bought the tickets from the stadium box office and ended up on the Mount side, but in an area with Salem local business folk.  It was cool since most of those folks had never seen a d3 game and had never heard of either school before.  It was fun to hear their take on the teams, fans, etc.
