The refs probably figured if it was good for the Bush it was good for the Beav.

Im not saying he should have ran on the field like he did.  But he did have the right to be angry if it was like I explained it.

If it was like I explained it?  WTF?  Maybe we should just let you write the account of the game and hand out the trophy.
Everyday is payday in paradise.

I hope we find something else to talk about in the offseason than the enforcement and/or policing of that non-penalty.

It's officially the off-season.  Posting Up sits one notch higher than Post Patterns and so the wheels of DIII life keep on rolling.

Finally getting back on after the LONG trip home and it boils down to one simple fact.  Whitewater made the game changing plays in this game, where as Mount had had them in the previous two.

Play of the game was the Beaver fumble into the endzone (great hit by MUC) that 2 Raiders had a shot at recovering before the UWW lineman fell on.  IF, and it's always IF,  Mount recovers we might be talking about that hit being the play that turned the game around.

Congrats to the Mount seniors that closed out a GREAT career Saturday night!  No shame in winning 2 titles and a runner-up.

I have no doubts that Mount will be a very serious threat to win #10 next year.  Mount loses a lot, but LK has built great depth in the program and they get to build their offense around a great QB and TB.  Not a bad place to start.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

just in from Stagg thirty something

congrats to U DUB DUB ...you deserved this one

Beaver was outstanding, but I was more impressed with the way the D-line came through for you....true, Mount turnovers hurt, but for the most part they were forced and part of the game.

You always need a bit of luck or a bounce to go your way  to win big games, and the fumble in the endzone was yours.  I thought we had it, not so...

Please do not judge Mount players by the actions of one apparently selfish, out for #1.  the assistant coach is young and will learn from daddy on his major major mistake.  Obviously no excuse, but I would bet it never happens again...

Personally, although I hate to lose, it is refreshing to watch other teams, coaches, and fans experience their pure joy at winning.  Although disappointed myself, I enjoyed watching the celebrations and remembered  what it was like the first time or two...(as a fan)

..sometimes, I think that we Mount fans have lost some of that real joy with our elevated, probably unfair expectations..

anyway, thanks for a great season Raiders...Stone Station and local receptions was fantastic (again)...glad OLine mom liked my purple Santa, and hope to see you again real soon.

Did you see the word if before the verb explained there reading comprehension man?

Simply saying that if the coach complained about the offensive pushing offensive players to the refs during the game and the coach was ignored and the illegal plays did happen, then the coach would have the right to be angry, but would not have the right to storm the field.

Jason Trusnik had two more tackles on Special Teams today for the New York Jets.  He just needs 1205 more tackles to catch up with London Fletcher for best for an OAC alum in the NFL.

All jokes aside, he's playing pretty well and using the big motor that the scouts liked about him patrolling the field on punts and kickoffs.  I hope he keeps it up and earns himself a solid spot as a Special Teamer for the Jets in 2008.

Congrats to both teams on a well played game, and to the Warhawks on their first national title.  Tough weather to play in, but both teams were playing in the same conditions and the reason Mount lost is plain and simple, WW took better care of the ball.  As far as the no call on the assist that gave WW the final touchdown, yes, it should have been called.  It was obvious that he was stopped and Beaver came from behind and forced him into the endzone.  But, that call is almost never made and I didn't expect for it to be called there.  That's not the reason the game was lost, Mount would have been hard pressed to go 99 yards and score anyway.  I had seats in the 2nd row behind the MUC bench and VK had been on the refs all game about WW's line wrapping up on MUC's D-ends and opening up huge holes.  He was obviously frustrated all game and lost it in the end.  Not what LK preaches and he certainly had words with him on the sideline.  Tough loss for MUC, but there's always next year, and the year after that and the year after that.
They should have practiced harder.

So.....do you suppose Micheli will want to transfer to WW to get a shot at a championship next year???

This is from the WIAC board, those boys seem to be getting a little cocky after 1 national championship.
They should have practiced harder.

The word "IF" was included in my response, was attempting to point out that your crying and whining isn't changing the outcome of the game.  Now I will go out on a limb and say that the unusualness of mount being found behind and humiliated brought out the worse in little k.

I wasn't crying or whining and I didn't really care who won the game.  Just pointing out that coaches have the right to be upset if rules arent enforced.

You have to understand the WIAC board/fans.  The vast majority are extremely good natured but they have a few accentuated knobs on that board.  I suppose one could find it comparable to a back up WR finally catching a TD pass then then engaging in showmanship in the end zone.  UWW is a good program but they will come crashing down to earth next year with no Beaver, Mrkvicka (sp?), etc.  MUC will continue to be what it has been.  Personally, I hope the Johnnies from SJU can get you again in the Stagg.  With Michali (sp?) and Kmic coming back, MUC will be the team to beat next year, as per usual.

Sure glad I stayed in Salem to avoid the "Bad Weather." Just spent 1 1/2 hours getting from Canton to Mogadore. Nice to have the time to tour the campus at Virginia Tech and waste what little money I had left in the bookstore on VT stuff for Kevin.

Thanks to the whole Mount team for a great year. I appreciate the chance to spend a weekend in Va with my son and to teach him that there are two possible outcomes in every sporting contest and you need to be graitous (sp) both in victory and defeat. No shame in being 2nd out of 280 some schools. I've got a feeling we'll be back.

To all you guys that drop off the boards after today, Merry Christmas

I enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones. :D

PS Great Santa Suit Raiderpa

Hard to believe how old I've gotten during this run
