As much as I enjoyed the Doeder posts, there is just something lacking in the telling of the story. If this were told on the E8 board various  pics would be added to embellish the experience. That leaves me wondering just what a "Doeder" looks like.  Also, what kind of Karma numbers did this guy generate? It must be of legendary proportions. ;)

OK...

While I appreciate the help, the post about finding a job was quite tongue in cheek, as were most of my posts today.  I actually have a few legit opportunities, though who knows how they will play out.  If I need it, I am certainly glad for the info, JT.

That just sounded boring, and few, if any, actually care to know the day-to-day progress of the JK job search.

The offseason is clearly upon us.  It should also be abundantly clear from the length of the last post that I have A LOT of free time on my hands as I am winding down the Army gig.

You'd think it would be a lot more work finding a job in the real world, but there isn't a lot to do when you have no skills, no motivation, and no leads.  ;)

This is what I get for my fine Lutheran based Liberal Arts education.  In the words of my idol, the immortal Mr. Blutarski (John Belushi) "seven years of college down the drain.  Might as well join the [bleeping] peace corps." :D

JK..... JT highly recommends http://www.jobsbyfax.com.  For about $100 or so they'll fax your resume and cover letter to 1,000 "decision makers" in the geographic area(s)/job classification(s) of your choice.  The thing is to try and bypass the human resources C-blockers and get to the Managers.

They'll then keep on faxing to 1,000 more until you get a job.  Everyone JT has passed this onto has gotten a gig, including Mrs. JT and Knightstalker.  Sorry for the third person Liberty League rant.  Its how we roll over there.

Definitely check it out.  The Army gig will play well in more than a few places.  Leadership... team player... vet... etc.,

Any info as to the quality of the jobs these people are getting?

Just wondering.

I'm sure there's blue collar too, but most of my blue collar friends are Union, so they are pretty much set already.

Good options are key in the J-O-B search.  Just throwing it out there.  I've tried just about everything.  Its the only thing I'll recommend, and I don't work for the company or know anyone who does.

My Dad's retired from the Army and he's still motivated at 63 so I know that wasn't a problem of yours.

JK......I would be HAPPY to recommend you to a few choice contacts.......sigh....except.......there is that whole "WB thing".....   :o

Any school that would employ Helm and Shep as not only coaches, but TEACHERS as well......YIKES!   ;D

The job that KS got was as an EDI analyst/consultant.  This job lead to KS current job as EDI coordinator for his current company.

Pierre Garcon is listed on the Nation roster for the Texas vs The Nation  football game to be played February 2nd 2008 in Texas.

Interesting. I don't think he was when I checked last night -- Wheaton's Andy Studebaker was the only D-III player for the Nation.

I wasn't saying he isn't on the roster now. I am saying I don't think he was when I checked last night.

These types of games add and drop players all the time, so it's not surprising.

raiderpa

wasn't there a picture of Doeder and family on the site a couple years ago?

Small but Slow

I've received the picture on his profile of the mullet wearing family on several 'you know you're a redneck when...' email attachments.  Since his trade to B-W he probably dresses mostly in polyester leisure suits or bell bottoms to stay in style with the old school astroturf still in use at the stadium.

Apparently the wife and Doeder spawn stayed at JCU and invested in Aquanet.
