Where is the McDonalds nearest to Muskingum?  Zanesville?  Newark?  That can be a recruiting tool for them, as well

Don't like fast food?  We're the school for you.
or
Don't like modern urban conveniences?  Come play for us where you can eat what you kill or catch.

McDonalds Website says it 7.8 miles to the Cambridge MCD's

If you have to come to Olivet in Michigan, plan on getting your McDonald's (or any other fast food fix), on your way. The closest McDonalds to Olivet is 8.55 miles away and that one is north of Olivet. The one to the south of Olivet is 15.94 miles.

The only fast food in town is a Subway, which is inside one of the gas stations (Citgo) in town.

bigwheels,

I was talking the FBR or Phoenix Open.   The 16th Hole is where our passes kept us holed up at the beer and food tents "entertaining clients"....yeah right.  It was a great time.  Especially the Friday night festivities at the "Crows Nest"

Alliance used to have a Dairy Queen and Taco Bell right across State Street from the MUC campus.  I don't think either remain.  The Bell was always a popular stop on the way home from a night at the Bier Haus.  Nothing better than a bean burrito on top of a belly full of beer, and digging for spare change for a Blizzard on a warm spring or fall afternoon is a fond collegiate memory.

During my years at MUC there was some sort of a pizza delivery pricing war.  16" one item pizzas delivered in under 30 minutes for $5!  If you had the coupon.

I think the Taco Bell is still there, but they tore down some other stuff and built a Giant SHEETZ Gas Station.

Raeburn Named Wabash Football Coach
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Great news for Wabash and a great hire.

Best of luck.

Congrats to Erik and Liz, and welcome 3/4's of the way home.

Thought I'd never welcome to the idea of seeing The Sphinx Club back in Mount Union Stadium, but let's see Wabash back in the playoffs 8)  (Nice tradition, but need to lose the "Big Boy Restaraunt" uniforms)

Worth celebrating, plus karma to all the regulars
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

WOW, Raeburn at Wabash! Sure makes things interesting now. Wonder what skunks-sidekick has got on this happening?  :o LOL Great news for the 'Bash though!

reality check

Congrats to Raeburn.  Another Mount grad moving to a great tradition-rich and well-supported program.  I used to dislike all those Mount guys in the coaching ranks but I kinda like the one we got so best of luck to the Little Giants over in the NCAC.

That's an upgrade over anything. Sheetz is heavenly.

I apologize if this is repeat news....ONU is telling perspective students that a McDonalds is coming to Ada.

That will certainly hurt the Muskies.  Does that leave New Concord as the only non-Mickey D town in the OAC?

Potential recruits, don't be swayed by the Ada news, remember Marietta has at least two McDonalds in its many fast food options!

Two? HA! I think you might be within sight of two at any given time in Marietta. There's 4. And two Dairy Queens. Doubt any other town of 14,000 in America has that kind of coverage.

Spence......ding ding ding.....pay the man!

Here's hoping I didn't put the ole maloika on that possibility.  Like I said.....there is interest in him from some D-I's.  As all of us know, interest doesn't mean OFFER.  So here's hoping he just says heck with all this drama, and decides to attend college where he can compete for a national title every year.

It would be interesting to have a "Tebow-type" running Mount's offense in the future.

Housewright likely won't leave Ashland for college.

Slow News Day - Erik is losing his hair

Congrats to Matt Laverde the new Oil City HS (PA) head coach
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

skunks_sidekick

DARN!  Hard to beat the hometown school (if a kid is inclined to stay around the homefront), and Owens is a good guy and an LK supporter so I guess I can't gripe too much that Housewright chose Ashland.

As for Erik ending up at Wabash, I am very happy for him.  I was able to talk to him via email about a week ago, and he was excited about the opportunity.  And to be honest....I like the enthusiasm that the Wabash faithful bring supporting their football program.  My problem/issue was with the head coach that is now gone.....so it's all good!

Let's see......Heidi........ONU.........W & J............Wabash.......soon the WORLD!!!!!!    ;D
