The fallacy in your argument is the assumption that if someone had played that 07 would have gone better for Marietta. There's no evidence to suggest that's the case.

How about trying common sense. Do I need to tell you that practice and repetition makes you better? There is no way to simulate actual game experience. Would it have shown in the win/loss column? It couldn't have hurt.

I'd like to know which games you think Marietta should have played someone else. The Capital game was 24-10 after 3 quarters.  Muskingum was 17-10 before MC pulled away. Maybe John Carroll but as bad as that was going it was a 2 score game in the 4th so you're not going to give up on that game. So you're arguing that 5 minutes of probably unsuccessful playing time (considering you're throwing a frosh in the fire against Mount Union) would have somehow made a difference.

And made a difference in what? What game are you saying Marietta would have won if Hughes had played? The only two even arguable are John Carroll and Ohio Northern. But Hughes had 0 INTs against Northern and played one of his better games, and the JCU game turned on fumbles, not interceptions.

I guess there's a reason the horrible Marietta coach is going to be a D-II offensive coordinator, and you're not.

Jeesh spence you just don't or can't get it.

You don't acheive "Empire 8 Karma" easily.  It takes a lot of "not getting it" to hit the negative 180 mark.

Or a lot of telling a lot of people how it is when they don't want to hear it. People who knows the score value my opinion. Fanboys don't.

Would I suddenly be smarter if I got a new screen name, played nicey nicey with everyone and got a high karma? No, I wouldn't.

Fact is there's no reason to think that MC would have had any better record by playing a backup QB one series in a situation in which he probably would have been very unsuccessful. Ding my karma if it makes you feel better, everyone else has. Ding it baby...ding it all night long. I'm like the d3sports.com whore...everyone's dinged it once.

Or maybe you are so hardheaded that you can't admit it when your opinion is not always the only possible truth and that others may have thoughts that could have some value.  Then you beat it like a rented mule till everyone is just tired of reading the puke you continuously regurgitate on here.

Interesting quote from Scout.com Packer Report:

"Another aspect to the scouting report on Garcon that makes him a viable prospect on the Vikings’ draft board is his character, an area where he will get high marks.  Garcon is mature, humble, well-grounded young man with solid values and character."

And another from 49ers.Com:

Garcon said he didn’t have the grades to play at a Division I school, but that his sisters eventually got him straightened out.

“In high school I didn’t have the best grades to play all four years so I played my last two years. I was overlooked because of that. My sisters really convinced me. I thought football would just take me anywhere.

I didn’t have the grades to go D1 and my sisters got on me so I decided to change that up real quick.”

Not all opinions have equal value. Sometimes people are just flat wrong and either don't know it or won't admit it. I'm more than willing to accept other people's input or opinions when they have merit.

I will say that in both of the major scraps that caused the majority of my karmic imbalance, I was eventually proven 100% right.

There's nothing provable in this discussion re: the MC QB, yet the folks that originally brought it up here (WHICH WAS NOT ME) acted as if it was self-evident. To me it's a lot more arguable that it wouldn't have mattered, considering the results and the extent to which poor QB play was a factor in MC's close losses (answer: not much), than it is to argue that not playing a FR QB for 4 minutes in the last game of the season did matter.

Further, I haven't seen anyone give any support for it beyond "you just don't get it" or "use some common sense."

Just do us a favor and READ the posts that you are going to respond to and try to understand them. You have a tendancy to infer things the writer didn't say. In my case, your citing something I said about Larry Kehres's background ( a man I've known personally since I was 19) incorrectly is just annoying. Please don't change the facts to suit your purposes.

I'm starting to feel like with represtentation like Spence and KCreds, Marietta could use more than a new football coach.

Sounds pretty decent to me. Sounds like the Vikings may take a shot with him.

My bold prediction. 5th Round.

I am now a Pierre believer, he's got a lot of top ten numbers

My son wants a Garcon rookie card to put up on his wall with his Adamson rookie card.

BTW - That was classic RC, Kirasdad

I didn't cite anything incorrectly unless his bio is incorrect. At this point I don't remember wtf everyone has said, but someone made a statement that implied that he went from BG to running the show at Mount and that's obviously not the case. He's older than many of the people that Mount folks are suggesting for the MC job. Good enough for MC, but if the shoe were on the other foot I doubt you'd be considering them HC timber for Mount.

I guarantee you there is NOTHING on this message board that is beyond my ability to comprehend. Don't flatter yourself, you're not that great.
