Small but Slow

Marietta can stay in the OAC, but maybe we can trade Spence to the NCAC board.  Just kidding!  He's the best thing to happen here for a while.

I just know that the NCAC guys are real academically-oriented and since certain Etta guys like Spence enjoy measuring their intelligence (and body parts) by typing such big words that it might be a natural transition to the NCAC for the Pios.  And I do apologize, I didn't think Marietta had been a real member of the conference in football terms since the mid-90's.  My bad.

It looks to me that Marietta has been a real member of the conference in football terms for the pass few years.

The Pios for the past four years are 20-20.  The record includes one win, two seven point losses and one blow out loss to the Polar Bears.

Apology accepted  ;D

I do apologize.  You guys are much more mediocre than I initially gave you credit for.  Congrats.

I only disagree with someone's opinion when that opinion is wrong.

Spence does a bad job of hiding the fact he's a jerk.

Now that we have apparently diSPENCEd with the nonsense.
I actually thought about RC today. (Though I never met the man). At any rate I have raised 3 children and they are all doing well.
Sorry,  the point.
My daughter (19) called crying at noon today. She said" Dad, I was in an accident!"
My question: "Are you okay?"
I didn't care about anything else, just didn't care. She was driving the good car. Didn't care. I was on my way to get her when I even thought about anything else.(rental, insurance, police reports.) Still didn't care.
RC, that is what a father of a girl is.
Good luck and God bless.
Your world will never be the same. Much better, but never the same.

Thanks ace.  Happy that she's okay as well.  I already dread going to work since I see my little one for just a few hours at night.  I have no idea what I will do when my coaching season hits full stride.  I may be running line drills with her strapped to my back just so we have some time togather. :)

My 11 year old son is my equipment manager (carries the first aid kit) for my high school track team and my 16 year old daughter is my scorekeeper (gets paid to carry my clipboard). The joy of teaching and coaching in the same school district they go to school in is that I see them all the time "at work." When I still worked in the "real world", the toughest part of my day was waving good bye to them in the front window, not knowing if I'd be home before they were in bed.

I just continue to pray I never have to "fire" either one of them. ;D
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

I was right, I wasted my breath.

You say you are a lot of things, Spence, but you are only one: Stand-offish.

You want others to consider your opinions and ideas, but you are unwilling to reciprocate.

Goodbye.

Heck all I wanted is someone to support their opinion or idea re: the original statement that Wiese stunted the team's growth this year by not playing the backup QB last year, and by extension was some kind of dummy.

The fact that you need to be convinced that getting your back-up QB some experience is useful, proves our opinion of your endless drivle.  Getting some playing experience for any young player, especially your QB in a QB-based offense, is ALWAYS useful.   Whether it be 10 plays or a 100.  Obviously you don't understand the basics of learning, sports, or life for that matter.

What other obvious facts do you need help with?  Gravity?  Sun rises in the east, sets in the west?  Fire is hot?  Hillary is a pyschopath?

I will give you credit for one thing though, it isn't often that the MUC, ONU and Cap folks all stand on the same side of a discussion.  So congrats.  You made all of us agree that you're a longwinded idiot that has an overelevated value of selfworth.

Yes I've seen/heard this before. "You don't agree with me so obviously you're an idiot that doesn't understand learning, sports, life, gravity, astronomical twilight (actually the sun doesn't rise or set, it just stays where it is, only it grows a tiny amount each day), fire or politics -- the latter of which is a field in which I hold a degree."

I guess in your world this is what you call supporting your argument. Only problem is it is anything but.

Given the tradition of the program and competition level of the PAC, if W&J had a 2-8 season red flags would probably go up to the administration that something is awry and the coaching staff would probably come under some scrutiny.  A second poor season would indicate a trend.  I doubt the school would, at least publicly admit, that they would fire a coach for wins & losses, but could find another cliche, such as "lack of direction," "differences in philosophy" or some other bogus reason to fire him.  Not that I can see that scenario occurring.

Me either. But it proves that winning is in fact not immaterial.

Can we vote now to ship Marietta to the NCAC and take back Hiram???

Hey, Marietta's gone more years vested in the OAC than ONU.  My vote is to  ship ONU out (HCAC or GLIAC, where did you come from?) and bring back Witt.

ONU came out of a cornfield, I think. :)

Not that I'm advocating this, but it would get rid of one of the two worst road trips in the conference.

Who said I was hiding it? Hell I'm playing it up at this point.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Just keep dinging my karma and we'll be fine. I'm trying to get to a -1 per post average. It's a lofty goal and I can't do it alone, but together I think we can all pitch in and do it!

Frickin' jerk. May Aronson transfer to Carthage.
