Not to mention, my "back door" isn't a pretty sight (remember I was an O-lineman).

Kickerdad was Navy, so he might be a little confused  ;)

In the Army we prefer the phrase "got your six."

Is Spence really gone?!?!?!  Did Pat give him the boot?!?!  Outfreakingstanding!

AMEN,     I really enjoy reading your board and when this guy came on ............you've heard the old saying if BS was music he could be a Brass Band for sure.

Theaprof.......good to know you are still out there kicking. Who did you guys find to beat up on this year in place of Averett?

I heard they scheduled Marietta for the opener this year.

St. John Fisher gets the honor of getting drilled to open the 2008 season.

Way too early spread is SFJ (+38.5) at MUC ;D
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

kickerdad,

I played before the shotgun was en vogue.  The center that I had to work with in HS made me wish for a shotgun snap...that or he'd eat some beano with his meals..

I didn't mind when we were embarrassing C-J, though....right RC? ;D

I played center in HS, one of the quarterbacks was University of Minnesotas current coach, he had the worst hand position of any qb I played with.  You never knew where his hands were, he used to reach so far under, I never could get a good snap to him.  He fumbled more than his fair share of snaps as I recall.

Just thinking about Malone running an offense with a shotgun snap involved made me laugh out loud.  You can say what you want about CJ, but I played the best game of my career against Badin.  It's a shame we lost because we only got decals after films if we won and I would have doubled my season count based on that game if we didn't lose to an inferior team.  23-17....still stings.

As a lineman that played a fair share of center in high school and in earlier years, and while my first days as a center felt a little awkward I quickly thought to myself that I'd rather be the center than be the guy sticking his hands up there.

This may have been discussed, but there are rumors going around campus about Pierre's pro day... any stats/scouts/other players working out??

from NFL.com
Four NFL teams were present to see three players working out, plus four from area schools, indoors on AstroTurf.

» WR Pierre Garcon (5-11 7/8, 207): Ran position drills and kept all his numbers from the combine. He had very good numbers at the combine, including a 4.42 and 4.45 40 and 20 reps in the bench press. In 2007, he had 67 catches and 14 touchdowns for Mount Union.

DeRiggi and Blanchard were the other MUC players.  I believe the teams were Cleveland, Atlanta, Denver, and Carolina

exactly, RC....though, the true single wing was from a shotgun...but we were as close as you can get to that.  The TMC pro set was a shock to me.

What year was that?  I remember the Barrett Robinson show...

Carolina seems to be forever looking for another receiver to put on the other side of the field from Steve Smith.  Musin Mohammed, Rae Carrruth (the murderer), and Keary Colbert are among the many that have been tried with varying degrees of success.

Of course Atlanta is, and always seems to be, in worse shape than the Panthers.  At least Carolina has Smith, it seems like the Falcons have been looking for even one legit NFL receiver since Andre Rison left them a decade ago.  Their current #1 and #2 WR's, Roddy White and former Buckeye Michael Jenkins are both first rounders who, if not complete busts, are at least flops in the NFL thus far.

The Browns are loaded with receivers, Edwards is on the verge of becoming a star, Jurevicious is on his last legs but still productive, and they just signed Donte Stallworth.  CLeveland could be a team where Garcon could develop, but he wouldn't be returning kicks there anytime soon with Joshua Cribbs, a Pro-Bowl returner, already on the roster.  It's also likely that Cribbs will continue to grow as a WR and ultimately start taking on more of a role there as Joe J is phased out.

Denver would seem like the best fit to me.  Rod Smith is still their best WR and he's about done at age 35+.  There aren't many WRs of note among the rest of their guys.  They have a young QB who Pierre could grow up with, and they could use a kick returner.

Barrett Robinson....that makes you, um.....old.  If my history is correct, after winning the High School Heisman, Barrett went on to Duke University where he went into the field of medicine.  He's in his residency as an OBGYN.  (He always had good hands.)  He interviewed me for a scholarship when I was in 8th grade (his senior year).  The loss I am referencing however was in the '98 season.

Am I the only one who is suprised that the Vikings weren't there?

DeRiggi and Blanchard? Interesting... do you know how they did?

Kira & Jaxon's Dad

The Buccaneers have needed a WR for about 3 years.  Would be good out there with Galloway and Hillard.

DiRiggi has HUGE arms.  I don't know if he is quick enough for the NFL though.  Anyone know his 40 and Shuttle times?

Your review on the Broncos is a little dated.  Rod Smith isn't even on their roster anymore.  He didn't play a down in the 2007 season.  The two Brandon's are the best WR's Denver has: Stokely and Marshall.  GVSU's Glenn Martinez is already their "small school project" so who knows.  I hope they do give Pierre some consideration though.

And Roddy White put up some big numbers in his last campaign catching 83 balls for over 1200 yards.  While Jenkins has not exactly lived up to expectations, Roddy White is proving himself to be a good pick.  Finneran was their second best receiver last year in terms of production so yeah, they could use some help.
