From a newsletter posted on Ric's site May 2007 Newsletter there was only one MTU grad listed as coaching HS in FL (at that time Dom Capers was with the Dolphins, but he is currently with the Patriots).

Bruce Notestine  Asst.  Auburndale  HS  Florida

I do know of one other, who is a poster on this site, but I'll let him reveal himself if he so chooses.  :)

Also, Auburndale is not near where the players listed earlier are coming from, it is close to Kissimmee/Orlando.

I figured it out, LK is a Jedi Knight.  He is using Jedi mind control tricks to get the best players to come to MUC.

Mike Miller is the latest LK player to become a head coach...

Wow I don't know a SID that would make a post like that. And I know the good ones. Very unprofessional.

Having watched Mike all the way through Falls High and Mount Union, I couldn't be happier for him.

Anyway, Lazzeri ruined Falls's string of HC's named Ross, ruining my chances. ::) ::)

Not that big a deal -- either the Florida papers' ignorance or the comment. It's a comment that is made literally a dozen times a year around here when ignorant high schools or newspapers report that a prospective student-athlete signed a LOI for D-III. Since LOIs are prohibited for D-III, it's obviously incorrect.

It doesn't stop local papers from posing kids with a blank piece of paper and their coaches and parents. I saw one the other day "signing" to play soccer at Mount Union.

Two days ago my brother in law told me about a girl on his daughter's softball team who received a "full scholarship" to play softball at Muskingum.  Folk's just don't understand.

Good one.  I couldn't count times I've heard similar comments about student-athletes at D3 schools.  Most people don't know D3 plays for free.

On the Colt's Website Pierre Garcon is assigned number 85, which is also assigned to 6 year vet. Emery Moorehead.

I may be too old for the "new age" self made highlight films, but the You Tube thing with the kid from Naples did nothing but turn me off to him.
I see that he looks fast, however, the line opened holes that Ric could have run through.

The background music (obscene by my standards) was too much for me...I hope this does  not reflect on the character of the kid....IF it does, I am very disappointed in the Mount Union staff....

It is really neat the Garcon has been so fortunate, but for me, I thought he did much to  embarrass and tarnish the wholesome image of Mount Union football by some of his antics... I will, however,  give him some maturity points as he got older....

Just a heads up:
I don't know if anyone has noticed, but the Colts are playing in this years Hall of Fame game in Canton.  Pretty cool that Pierre will be playing in his first professional game right down 62 from Mount

I agree with you on the music.  I have young ones at home and had to mute my computer while watching the video.  If you are trying to promote yourself for a chance to go to college, it may be more prudent to use music without so much vulgarity.

This was my same thought as I watched.  I wondered why any recruiter would be attracted to a kid who would post a highlight film with that choice of lyrics.  At best it shows very poor judgement.  Hopefully he made a campus visit that put such concerns to rest.

Give the kid some slack for possible minor youthful indiscretion - presumably he is only 18 years old, and it is not apparent that he broke the law.
