He'll really enjoy playing for Jim Tressel and Jim Heacock.

THere's how you should have tied it to D3... Tressel (BW) and Heacock (Musky) are both OAC-ers.

What do you do when you are a new head coach and you are putting a staff of assistants together? Well if you are Jason Hall and some of your first picks are denied due to politics and budget restraints....you stock up on former head coaches and tap their wealth of knowledge and experience. Sound Familiar? It works for LK!
Jasons first year is going to be one he will never forget. Maybe for the wrong reasons though! Jason should bring his kids to Alliance stadium on Saturdays to learn a little. ;D    I wish Jason much success with his Tigers.

Congratulations to you and your nephew Joelmama!
The only downside is I will probably make a number of roadtrips with my Brother in law which means that I wont get to as many MUC games starting in 2009 for a few years.

Adam asked me a question that is sort of related here.  Since his girlfriend is going to be playing soccer at MUC  do they paly any home games the same day as home football games?  IS there a womens soccer schedule for 2008 published yet.  Adam wants to come down for both when possible with me this fall.

Being in Ohio Stadium with 106,000 of your closest friends isn't really a downside.  ;D

Plus, if you choose which OSU games to attend correctly, you might be able to see two games in a day.  Especially if MUC plays at OTT in a night game or at Cap in the afternoon of an OSU night game, for example...

While the girls soccer teams play more often than just Saturday, you'll very often find soccer in Mount Union Stadium when the Raiders are on the road. Bringing soccer into the stadium was an early selling point for turf. Couldn't find a soccer schedule but if you drop AD Kehres's office an email I'm sure they can help. :)

Mount has a soccer team?  Really?
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

What the $#%& is soccer in the first place???

A quick look at MUC's schedules looks somewhat promising for you.  You can watch the women play CWRU on Sept. 20 and stick around for an evening football contest featuring that team from Ada.  (Here's to hoping the Raiders go 1-1 on that day ;) )  Oct. 18 is another day/night option but football plays in the afternoon that time (Berg).  I'm still not sure why someone would want to submit themselves to sticking around for soccer but I guess everyone has decisions to make in life.

Also thanks for the assistance Pat and Reality Check.

It's also one of few female sports where the participants still look like girls.

RIP Tim Russert, John Carroll U grad.

We will really miss Mr. Russert's analysis this fall.  This is not just a loss for his family and JCU.  This is a major loss for America.  His speech at MUC two years ago was inspiring, to
say the least.  His dedication to family (while incredibly dedicated to the Bills, etc.) helps us to understand that sports (even DIII football) should be secondary to family.

RIP, Tim Russert.  My thoughts are with your wife, your son, and your Dad.  At least you got to spend your last week with your family in Italy.
