OK it's toooo quiet in here so:

Does anybody find it bizzare that Otterbien is still ranked in the lower teens. I know the OAC doesn't appear to be strong top to bottom, but they have played tougher teams than Case Western and undefeated after 7 has to count for something. Come on, I just watched the Heidelburg for the second time and it's blowing light snow outside.

BTW I got an offer from the parents of a JCU player for a ride to Alliance Saturday. Not sure I can keep my mouth shut on the way home  8)

Thanks.  Busy with work, haven't been able to pay as much attention to D3 as I'd like.  I live 20 minutes from JCU and haven't made it to a game yet.  Still planning on heading to A-town Saturday.  Might be in the Columbus area next week, so I'll probably try to catch the Mount/Otter game, and if Mount (or Otterbein!   ;D) makes the trip to Salem, I'll make it with them.

I wish you the best, and it seems your recovery is going well.  I'm sure I'll be at the Hood drowning my sorrows sometime around the third quarter Saturday.

reality check

You really think it will take three quarters???   :)

FWIW

ONU's JV team is 4-1 with its only loss coming at the hands of Ashland as well.  They've defeated Defiance, Otterbein and Adrian twice.  Last week's game against Wooster was cancelled.  (I guess COW likes to avoid all the OAC schools!)

reality,

Badin plays Clinton-Massie AT C-M this coming weekend in their first playoff game since 2002.  Clinton-Massie runs the fullhouse/two TE Formation that we ran for many years at Badin.  Should be interesting.

Are there any teams in D3 running the straight T -with two TE's?

It was the MUC true freshmen (not all btw) against a freshmen, sophmore and jr JV team of Ashland.

A different view of LK and Mount football  Mount Union's success begins at practice

Saintsfan-Starting to get a little of my voice back(they come through the front of your throat and move your voice box out of the way) and learning how to use my laptop with a heavy plastic neck brace on, in between trying to finish "Mr Football, The Story of Amos Alonzo Stagg" and roaming eBay looking  for new jerseys to hang up in my classroom (you can still see the ugly yellow walls, so I don't have enough). Pretty sure I'm going to make the trip to Westerville. My wife is from Westerville, so she might like to take our daughter shopping up the hill from Otterbien.

Good luck to Badin (that hurt to type).  I enjoyed the MSU/UM game this past weekend seeing Ringer go against former Eagle Brandon Harrison for UM.  I would have much rather seen both find themselves in scarlet and gray but they played a bigger role for their respective teams by moving up North.

Brandon was in 1st grade at my grade school when I was in 8th grade.  I helped as a teacher's aide in his classroom that year.  It's funny to think about what I remember about Brandon and then see him roaming the defensive secondary for the Wolverines all grown up.

Mount nearly lost to Wilmington last Saturday...Posession time that is. (30:27 to 29:33)

I was there and truly amazed how quickly Mount scored.

Been meaning to ask. Is the cheerleadering coach at Mount trying to keep up with Larry? There's like 20-24 cheerleaders now. Glad to say one of them is among the nicest and most attractive young ladies who ever ran track from me at Mogadore.

Let's do a little math:

200 football players at $38,000/each
25 cheerleaders at $38,000/each

=$8,550,000 for dear 'ol MUC

NO CUTS!

I heard that LK was going to keep the starters in for all or nearly all of 4 quarters these last 3 games to get them in playoff shape...even if all we see are field goals in the secong half.
Any thoughts people?
