Seventies,

Sorry to hear about your set back. We are praying for you and hope things turn around quickly. Hang in there.

I agree with Section13 on this. I too was going to drive down to see the Mount-Ott game and it's a shame that the Ott folks can't handle all the fans. It's really a shame so I hope Mount rolls big time.

I just checked the OTT athletic website for game information.  It says they still have 1835 tickets available for sale starting at 10A on Saturday.

After many years of service as a public school administrator (and AD), I can assure you of one thing:  There was no such thing as a "sell out" at a football game.

Hey, no whimps. If I could bend my body into a car seat, I'd be standing outside the fence. I'm sure they will keep taking money. They can't be that dumb as to not sell standing room. Hell they had time to move this to Westerville South which as I remember is pretty nice.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

I don't know why they are putting a seat limit on this game. They've packed people all the way around before. I remember my soph year when we played the first game against capital in our new stadium. Cap fans lined their entire sideline. It made for a great atmosphere. And it also helped that we won that game  ;D

Parking will probably be an issue tomorrow too.  There are three main parking lots at otterbein. THe one behind the stadium (west) fills up quickly (half of it is filled with students who live in the dorm next to the stadium). Me and a few buddies are leaving our cars out there tonight so we can get the tailgating area that we want. On the south end of the stadium, there is another large lot. This one fills up pretty quickly too. Just east of that lot there is another large parking lot. THose three are your best bets if you get there before noon. Students use a good majority fo these lots also After that, you might have to walk a pretty good distance. Parking on the side of the road on campus isn't easy either. Most of the streets are bricked and not the widest.

I don't think they are going to turn anyone away who wants to be there. That's the dumbest thing i have ever heard. I hope Mount fans still make the trip down. I've talked to some of the OC players and they are ready to go. They need to stay focused and do what most people can't do against mount; make it a ball game heading into the half. OC has only given up something like 21 points in the second half all season. They are by far a second half team. Mount has a history of putting games away early. Make it close at half and we've got ourselves a ball game in the second.

Hey,
This is my first post because I see how brutal you vets can be to the uninitiated, but I want to say thanks for making the LONG week between Saturdays tolerable and even entertaining.  Since registering I have learned about jury duty, health tips, and views on ballot issues, in ADDITION to D3 (and soome HS) football.  You had me all worried about tickets for the "Running of the Otters," and I even called a new nephew-in-law on faculty to grab some.  He evidently didn't sense my urgency, and texts me just now that they will be on sale tomorrow.  Having kept current with my message boards...I knew that.

You guys are the Bomb! Thanks!

OldOtter,

I can't see Mount's defense giving up 31 points when they only give up 5 a game.

Well mount doesn't lose and I predicted that too!

Otter..what local bar might have the game on radio in the event my arthritic bones need relief? LK  gave the boys off today as he does every Friday. They will be rested and ready to go. He was in very good spirits and spent the afternoon playing with his grandchildren. He expects rain. The Otters sure have never faced a passing attack like the one they will see Saturday. Otterbein fans are in for a treat, you will get to see the best pass offense in the land, weather permitting.

Damn, 70s ... sorry to hear about the pain.  I've had chronic back pain for 30 of my 48 years, but you seem to be beating me hands down.

NE Ohio is supposed to have some of the best medical in the country ... maybe it's time to leave your HMO.

[or maybe you just need a cowbell!]   ;)

Heal quickly, my friend.

purple...if you're looking for a bar in Westerville you must not be aware of its links to the WCTU

haha this is true.... not to many bars in good old "dry" westerville. There is the Old Bag of Nails pub uptown but it's no much of a bar and i doubt that they willl be playing the game. Our school's radio station, WOBN 97.5, will be broadcasting the game. Station doesn't reach to far outside of Westerville, though. I know that they stream online, too. Not sure if they posted the link on the schools website or not. I figured Mount's radio station would also be streaming the game.

Talked to some guys and they said they had an uncharacteristically intense friday walk-through. The guys seem focused. If they take care of business they have a chance to do something the school hasn't done since 1946 and thats win an OAC championship and also clinch a spot in the playoffs. I hope their ready to go.

And about not seeing a passing attack like this years... the last three years have been pretty stellar also. When teams have to defend a RB like Kmic it's always going to open up the passing game. He has been just as instramental it the passing games success as the QB and the WR's have been. I'd have to say 500+ yards a game is a defensive coordinators worst nightmare. Hopefully Coach Moore and the guys have hit films hard this week and are ready to go.

Heading out now to go drop my car off in the parking lot. I'll be damned if i lose my tailgating spot!!!! ;D

Latest update on Pickems and Ott/MUC:

HCAC and SCAC have MUC at -14.5: pickers have MUC 8-0.
OAC has MUC at -17.5: pickers go 21-3 for MUC.
CCIW has MUC at -23.5: picks are currently 8-3 MUC.
NCAC has MUC at -30.5: picks are STILL 9-6 for MUC.*

Would 34.5 be enough to even things out?  44.5? 199.5? :D

[Personally, I took MUC at -17.5, but Ott at -23.5 (and -30.5).]

*Unless MUC really does do a 'monkey-stomp' on Ott, you guys might want to file this away for the next time an NCAC guy tries to pull out the 'brains' card. ;D

If, as in Vegas, the object of the spread is to get equal numbers on each side, then Wally has done the best job.
