I'm a long-time reader but first time poster. Just wanted to tell Seventiesraider I was praying for him and wishing him a good recovery. See a lot of you at OTT tomorrow ! Go Raiders !

JK

Good luck to all today.

Hate to ruin the fun, but I traveled all evening to get back to Ohio.  Not for a game, but because my Father in law had a a heart attack and quadruple bypass surgery yesterday (Friday).  Left El Paso at 1:10pm Mountain time and got into Cinci at 7:50pm eastern.

He's doing as well as can be expected right now.

It's a shame.  He's only 56, runs 3+ miles every day, eats right, takes care of himself.  But, he's got history against him.  His dad died at 65 of a heart attack.

So, while you all enjoy the game, and please do enjoy the game, I'll be in the hospital.

Please keep my wife, her mom, and of course her dad in your thoughts and prayers.

I'm looking forward to a good game recap from someone on this board so I can read about what I missed as soon as possible.  ;)

Hope all is well with your Father-in-law. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Seventies, best wishes as well. I was told to have the same surgery but was afraid to proceed. Your story has not bolstered my confidence. :(

OTT decided to make 3,000 tickets available for sale for the game. This does not include students and others with passes. On Thursday, they sold 850 tickets and it sounds like a few less today so the 1,500 -1,800 available tickets for Saturday morning sounds about right. I have my tickets and will be driving down. Hopefully those MUC fans who wanted to go will still do so. Looks like you will be able to get in. This could be a special game.

Looking forward to a great one in Westerville.

Btw, sorry for the late post and info as I just got home. Go Raiders!

reality check

Hope to catch some of "THE GAME" Saturday but I'll eventually be off to the coaches office to break down film.  Our varsity won a game tonight to put us in the playoffs for the first time in 7 years at this school.  The kids came back from 13-3 at the half to win 30-16.  They played a heckuva game.  Now we get to gameplan for one more week.

Good luck to all the OAC'ers Saturday, especially those playing Capital.

Welcome to KEHERESMA. Great name I might add! Thats gonna start a string of new creative names on here.

Here are some reasons to limit the number of tickets sold to the opposition:

Because they have a large following and that puts our side at the enthusiasm disadvantage.
We have a small facility and cannot accomodate the crowd for food and beverages
We cannot afford the extra security for crowd control during such a spirited contest
We cannot park all the vehicles legally
We are academically oriented and will not treat a football game as a special event.
Hey, Its our facility, If we want to hold back the tickets to sell to OUR fans...we will!
Its get even time.....remember all those times we lost to you guys.....we do!
We cannot bear to hear you guys chant "START THE BUS" one more time.

Im still not going to chance it. Its too far to drive to risk the disappointment of getting no ticket. RIC and HSCOACH will have to deliver the goods for me. Just dont announce that the stands are half full on the MUC side or Im gonna blow a fuse!

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

JK,

I wanted to pass along my well wishes to you, your father-in-law and your wife..

If Joe Cepluch can't keep you entertained during free moments, give me a shout.  I'm going to be in Hamilton today.  If you father-in-law is in a Hamilton County facility, I'm very close to the majority of them.  Call me if I can help.

Seventies,

Keep up your attitude and you'll be fine in no time..  If you need more medical care, have that doctor fly you in a helicoptor to Cincinnati.  Our professional football might sucks, as usual, but this means you'll get better medical care because even the nurses don't pay attention to the Bengals and they damn sure don't wear the Bengals jerseys on gamedays at the hospital anymore..... I hope.

If the MUC side is only half full that will mean only about 20 Mount fans showed up.
12-0 = 13

Mr. Ypsi

How pickems pickers see it - final update:

HCAC and SCAC (MUC -14.5) - MUC 17, Ott 2
OAC (MUC -17.5) - MUC 28, Ott 5
CCIW (MUC -23.5) - MUC 8, Ott 5
NCAC (MUC -30.5) - MUC 12, Ott 8

Desertraider

5 minutes til kickoff and I am.......nervous as #@!!. Don't know how to feel about this going in. I know MUC will be ready - LK would not let it be any other way. On the OTT side maybe being at home will be a disadvantage - maybe the Otters will feel too confident (if that is even possible in a game against Mount). I hope it is a good game - and a clean game - no injuries! I think they both go to the playoffs so this should be a good test for both squads. Now with all of the PC stuff out of the way:

ROLL RAIDERS! ROLL!!! GRIND EM IN THE DIRT!
