OldOtter-Bring your woolies to Uni Hts tomorrow. It promises to be a cold one with the wind straight in your face. Good luck Cards. While my heart is with JCU, I want to see two OAC schools in the playoffs. I personally feel that were they to ship Otterbein to East regional they have a chance. There really isn't a lot of strength in the East

It'd be interesting to see the Cards get into the east region. It make me dread week two of the playoffs a lot less! Talked to a Cards player today and he said Otterbein is sending about 30 of the guys (the starters and a few others) up to Cleveland tonight to stay in a hotel. Would have been a really early morning and a longgg bus ride if they stayed in Westerville this evening. Wish they would have done that for a few games when i was in school!

As much as i would love to go to the game tomorrow, I won't be able to. My girlfriend got me tickets to see the Steve Miller Band at Nationwide tomorrow night. Even though all of their hits came well before I was even born (haha) I still love their music! Can't really beat 6th row floor seats either

Desert Raider:

Based on LK's approach to these games in previous years, I would expect Kmic to only get around 10-12 carries on Saturday.  Predicting the yardage is a crap shoot because that will most likely depend on the field position provided by the MUC defense.

The worst game (yardage) for the Raiders offensively this season was against Heidelberg simply becuase they kept starting their drives on the Berg side of the 50.   And I am expecting more of the same against Marietta.

If I had to guess, I say Kmic goes 12 carries for 88 yards and 2 TD's in about a quarter and a half of play.  Same as versus Wilmington, all of the starters will be done at halftime.  First drive of 3rd quarter at the absolute latest if LK was unhappy with the mental focus in the first half.

I didn't figure the starters would see much time. I wonder if LK will use the game to rest the O-line and let them heal up a bit before the playoff run. I too would love to see a rematch with UMHB. I guess we'll see how it all pans out in the brackets.

There is a slippery slope between resting guys when you're up big and don't want anyone injured...versus getting guys ready who have not played 4 quarters all season.  Kehres seems to have a pretty fair track record balancing this situation.  I for one think the starters will play into the 3rd quarter tomorrow.

One of the trainers told me today that the starters had been told they would probably only be playing the first half.

Actually OldOtt, deep purple people would take the sideline of the Raiders  during a playoff qualifying game over sixth row floor Steve Miller show any day of the week.

I heard from someone close to LK that Larry had extra motivation to keep his starters in the game last week after he witnessed the bush league BS by Otterbein players rushing Mount's bench as the team was entering the stadium.  LK admitted he was surprised by the restraint of his team, especially with the majority of the coaches not yet at the bench area to help lead constraint.  Last years team would never have had the same focus and restraint.  It could have been a very ugly event.  LK coaches with class, but has a long memory.

Well, I do... as a measuring stick for where we are and what we need to do.  But, I also want to experience more than one game.  Nobody can see MUC losing their first round game.. me included.
