Hey, Pedro Aruzza (Randolph Macon HC)  has been to Alliance before. He was the All american RB on the 1995 Wheaton team.

Wheaton made the field....what a gift.

West Bracket #1 Willamette and #2 Occidental get screwed.  They play each other in FIRST game.  NCAA is CHEAP!!!!!  That stinks.

Only an appearence by Stone Station at Mount may keep me from baling and going to the CWRU game.

What a huge disappointment!  When you look at the four brackets, it seems clear to me that Mount has the easiest road to the semi's.  The only alleged test will be Ithaca????   Yah........right!   ::)

The goal is to win the Stagg, but I really feel better tests early in the play-offs would help Mount.  Oh well.......let the fun begin!   8)

Well it looks like the East has to come to Alliance again. Mount's road does not look terribly difficult (I'm trying to be modest). Randolph-Macon? Um.....I'll have to look and see who they are. As far as the No. 2 seed in the East (Ithaca) is concerned - Mount has seen them before. Oh wait, in honor of Toph's form:

Mount Union hasn't seen a ____balanced TEAM______ like this years     Bombers_______ before.  They better not overlook ___Ithaca_______ if they want to get to Salem. Last year Ithaca was awstruck, this time they are ready.

No offense to Ithaca - I just could not resist. I had to add the last line since it is a potential rematch. However, Ithaca has some good competition in front of them. As far as the North goes - I think Trine ends in Week 1. Wheaton has experience. Sets up the possibility of and OTT/MUC rematch.

The west should be interesting with St Johns and UWW meeting in round 1.

Randolph-Macon's reward for beating Hampden-Sydney  31-21 yesterday, play MTU in the first round.

I can't wait to see hscoach's spread on R-M vs Mount.  ::)

R-M 6-4 this year and make the playoffs. Last year 8-2 and don't make the playoffs. Goes to show, record doesnt matter, just who you beat for conference titles.

Interesting about R-M, #1 in their conference in rushing offense (thru 9 games). 173 ypg, I suspect their average will drop...

From the ODAC site:
"Four teams sit atop the ODAC standings as the football season comes to a close, but it's Randolph-Macon that earns the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.  The Jackets' reward is a date with nine-time national champion Mount Union in the first round."

Just has that "Be careful what you wish for" ring to it.

RMC's D is ranked 3rd in the ODAC against the rush (134.7 avg) and 4th against the pass (200.5 avg).
Should be interesting to see how they fare. Has there ever been a triple digit spread ;D? Curious.
