Here's a Headline link for Thanksgiving, Raider Nation:

Tim Tebow, Greg Micheli lead Academic All-America football team

He was also named to the 50th class of the Nation Football Foundation scholar-athletes along with names like Brian Robiskie of Ohio State

I know,  I posted it yesterday.  :)

The Lions don't get enough credit.  I truly think that it is more difficult to go defeated for the season than undefeated in the NFL.  I applaud the Lions for showing up week after week and doing all they can to ensure that they go down in history as the worst professional football team ever formed.
They should have practiced harder.

Just curious - and hypo question -

If you're not allowed to say MUC - who do think is the best 2 or 3 teams left in the bracket??

MHB and UWW?

SJF Fan,

Even if allowed to say MUC, until some team replaces UWW (present D3 National Champs) - it may be MUC and/or MHB - after UWW?

Bambord,

Just because UWW is the defending Nat'l Champ. does not mean they are the best team left in the Bracket.  This is a new year with new players.  UWW lost a lot (so did MTU) and from what I have read (I haven't seen them play this year) I wouldn't say they are #1.

MTU has Micheli and Kmic, but are not as dominant on the O and D lines, so it will be interesting to see how this all plays out.  I don't think that MTU has really been challenged yet this year (OAC is down and SFF and RMC were not top 25 teams IMO) so if they do run into MHB or UWW it will be interesting to see how they stack up.

Wow - what a joke of a comment.

Remember what all of you were saying before last season, and even at the end of last season after UWW pounded you???

UWW is the best until proven otherwise.

Till somebady knocks off Whitewater, Willamette, Millsaps, North Central and Mary Hardin-Baylor we haven't even got locks on the final four.

I think a lot of us here want another shot at Mary Hardin-Baylor, but first we need to address a losing record against Hobart. (Please refer to the signature quote below)

And yes the Warhawks are the champs till they prove otherwise, whether Mount beats them or they fail along the line, but since when is 31-21 a "pounding?" Care to venture what a WWW-SJF score might have been?

A nice article on Nate...

RUN NATE RUN!!!

Bring your cowbells. Breaking an all time DIII rushing record is among the only acceptable reason for cowbells. I'd suggest ringing them on every rush through 110 yards. Sorry Ric, I'll be over on the south wall with  mine.

It would have been close, we probably wouldn't have won by more than 2 to 3 touchdowns . . .

Wow, you really are an ASS.

Last year was a little different as MTU was the TWO TIME DEFENDING NATIONAL CHAMPIONS, as well as the #1 RANKED Team in the Nation.

UWW has lost THIS year, doesn't that prove anything?  Also they can BE the Defending Champs and simultaneously NOT be the best team left in the Bracket.  Heck, they didn't even receive a #1 Seed by the NCAA.

Run along little doggie and come back later when you have something intelligent to share, or when SJF at least makes it back to the playoffs.

Yes, they do have a loss - it happens when you play in a real conference. .
