Hope The Rev plans on bringing a box of hankies.  ;)  My bold prediction: 49-7

runyr,
You nailed it.   Mount took the knee at the one yard line twice at the end of the game.
Mount won 42-7.

Impressive D by Hobart in the first half but Mount's relentless O and solid D were too much for 'Bart.

Congrats NATE!!! Division III career rushing leader!

If it wasn't for Panchik getting tripped from behind at the one, the spread would have been perfect.

HOBART (+42.5)

Ugh! >:(
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Kudos to Hobart and their fans....a great effort by the Statesmen...like Ithaca, they came ojut and smacked the Raiders in the face and got instant respect..
14-7  at Half and Hobart missed a chip shot field goal on 4th and 1 ( I think it was 4th and 1)

Same old story of a team falling behind then trying to catch up...mistakes led to Mount's later scores....Mount did drive 96 yards for one second half score...

For the most part Hobart did what many could not...made Mount sustain longer scoring drives.  Particularly impressed by DE's who pushed Mount blockers backwards a great deal, and #75, #40, and #9 were studs...
#2 showed great heart while taking a pasting...

Hobart fans, classy and came in great numbers...congratulations on a very good game...

Hobart D played well  made the Raiders work.   Big line for bart on both sides of the ball.  All around a great effort for the statesmen.   Mt's smaller lines handled the big guys fairly well.  Kmic was well Kmic.   Over all a good game to watch and fairly well officiated.   Hard to stop all of Mt's weapons .   A very solid effort by Mt's defense.   Next up Cortland state.    If we win next week , looks like we get a shot at Franklin U.

Hobart was a strong, well disciplined team that didn't make many mistakes. I had taken exception with Hobarts's coach's attitude about having nothing to lose, but I apologize. The fake punts and some other risk taking clearly kept them in the game longer than they might have been. A tip of the hat to the Hobart faithful as well as you stayed positve and supportive to the end. (The Line Judge on the other hand is off my Christmas card list).

Despite some boo birds, I'm glad we didn't try to drive it in at the end of the game. ::)

BTW I gotta give a great deal of credit to the Mount D-Backs today who seemingly came out of nowhere and got a hand in to break up pass play after pass play. Gotta be disheartening to throw perfect passes  for nothing. Good job gentlemen.

Nice to see so many of you ( and to be seen ;D )

Yet another history making day in Alliance. Great job Nate and his O-Liners who fought for ever yard he got today.

Nate Kmic deserves the D-III Record. I hope he can challenge Danny Woodhead here the next couple weeks.

In order for that to happen the Purple Raiders have to keep winning!!!!

Did anyone else see LK out talking to the refs after the shot on Claycomb? Sometimes to be a fly....

raiderpa,
Good post.   One correction...it was 14-0 at the half.

That leads to my comment on the Line Judge. That was clear helmet to helmet and the Hobart kid who lead with his head wasn't even relevent to the tackle. No excuse yet no flag.
