+k for the Hobert folks.

Kirasdad or Pat I can't kill the  poll cause it's not in my name anymore or I'm too dumb to  figure it out. Guess it will time out eventually.

Hmm, I don't seem to have access to kill it either.

Toph......were you at the Hood yesterday?  Skunk and I came in with our posse after the game, but we really didn't have a way to indentify you.  I didn't see any JCU gear.

Word was that there was an LK sighting at the Hood after the game....just goes to show he is "one of us", only better!   ;D

So I am thinking that the Cortland State game might be our first true challenge in these play-offs (not that Hobart didn't play valiantly).  I know the stats don't really show it, but they seem to be playing well at the right time.  What does Nate need to average to reach/beat the all-time rushing record?

Larry showed me how much I know about football coaching yesterday by attacking what I saw as Hobarts strength up the middle. Of course plays are designed one way and backs like Nate see 16" holes and side step through them.

Nate needs about 200 each game if we can keep going. I'm sure he's a little sore today. He fought hard for a lot of those yards. Nice runs by Greg yesterday as well to avoid several sacks.

Anybodt know where Nate is in career all-purpose yards

513 Yards short of Woodhead.

Needs to average 171 yards per game to equal Woodhead (if MTU makes the Stagg).

My spreadsheet, which goes awry when I post it herein, suggests that Nate, through his career, is averaging 192 yards per playoff game.  If that continues and Mount continues to win, he needs 171 ypg through the Stagg, to catch Woodhead.  With 184 ypg through the Stagg he would reach 4.55 miles or 24,000 feet or 8k yards.

But first, the PRaiders have an important game with Cortland State.  Go Raiders, go Nate!

TGP,
Very impressed by Hobart comments on this board.   You and The Rev reflect very well on your school.
Here's hoping Justin Hager gets the recognition he deserves.

Cortland State:
Why do I get the feeling this week's game will be similar to TCNJ last year?  It's the same conference and same competition.  Maybe it won't be 59-7, but I have no problem giving them hscoach's +38.5 and picking dear old MUC.

The Obvious:
It's obvious cream is separating to the top when you look at hscoach's spreads this week.  MHB, WW, and Mount by wide margins.  (No offense to Wheaton, you guys are class act, just not top three.)

So Cortland is the "new" Rowan from the East.   Can't really call Mt. an eastern team except eastern ohio.   The  beast from the true East is Cortland this year.    Since their in NY that means massive linemen again.  Haven't seen a NY team with small linemen.   All hail the new Beast from the East   The Cortland State  Red Dragons!

My apologies for rounding 191.8 up to 192.

Congrats on a great season to the Hobarts.  I was impressed with No.90 and No.40 who played their rearends off and hit untill the bitter end.  I sat with some of the Hobart fans and they were really cool people.  I sent them to the Naborhood for cheeseburgers after the game.

Didn't mean to offend.  I think I misread your post and thought you lost your spreadsheet.

Not a bad senior season for Nate.  Here's his rushing numbers thru 12 games:

281 carries for 2,165 yds and 35 TD's
     7.70 yds/carry
     189.4 yds/game

Still can't come to grips with him NOT being a Gagliardi finalist............
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

I just wanted to say thanks to all the classy MUC fans. You represent your team well. It seems not only is your team one of the best stories of college football year in and year out but the fans class and respect goes right along with them. Being a LL fan I was just so impressed by all the positive comments. Still have to pull for Cortland (being from the East) but I just have tons of respect for MUC players and fans alike. A class act! By the way congrats to Kimic. What a record!  Bottom line the kid is simply...
