Best case scenario...Zimmer makes one, misses second...but Doug gets rebound and makes two.  4.7 secs and Titans up 5!

For those interested, Titan women win by 30.

TITANS WIN!!!!!!

But Titanhammer is right - never taunt an AA with time left on the clock!  AT scored 12 points in the waning minutes to make the game VERY scary.  Doug Sexauer's offensive rebound (and made FTs) were the play of the game.

Now that AT can't hurt us any more, let me observe that even with his late flurry, Sean Johnson outscored Sean Wallis and Aaron Thompson, combined, and with far fewer misses - helluva game SJ! :D

Zimmer contributed 17, Doug finished with 16 and 9 boards.

Way to go guys!!

Carthage up early 12-11 as Carey has 2 triples.

Carthage now up 20-14 as Stevie D has 10 points already.

magicman

Carthage up 25-22  with 7:00 to play in the 1st. Sean Johnson with 13 for vIWU.

Carthage still leads 33-27 with 2 minutes to go in the half.

At the half Carthage leads IWU 36-32.

Gregory Sager

Carthage is getting a great game out of Tyler Pierce. He's really having his way against Sexauer down low. Of course, Steve D. is getting him the ball in great position.

Sean Johnson's really been the man for IWU, particularly from downtown. The Titans would be in a heap of trouble right now if he hadn't had such a hot hand in the first half.

Carthage opens up a 9 point lead 45-36 with 16:51 to play.

magicman

IWU with a 9-2 run ties it up at 49 all with 11:23 to go.

Gregory Sager

Carthage has gone ice-cold -- while at the other end, Guzman can't handle Sexauer.

Mr. Ypsi

Amazingly, only ONE foul called on both tams combined so far in the 2nd half. :o
