Northwood (FL), an NAIA outfit in West Palm Beach, FL (and my brother-in-law's alma mater, for what that's worth) leads Carthage at the half, 40-39, in a tourney being hosted by the Seawolves. Mitch Thompson leads the Red Men at the break with 11 points.

Overtime in West Palm Beach, as Carthage and Northwood head into the extra session knotted up at 81.

Coached by Rollie Massimino, Northwood, Fla. plays their sister college Northwood, Mi every year.  This year they stopped off in East Lansing to play Michigan State in an exhibition game before heading to Midland to play the other Northwood.

Albion 71, NPU 64, 4:01 to go.

NPU had the Brits' lead down to as little as 3 a few minutes ago.

Mr. Ypsi

Quite a contrast to yesterday (and the day before), as Hope leads IWU at the break, 39-28.

IWU's only leads were 3-0 and 5-4; they once trailed by 15.

Mr. Ypsi

Hope built the lead back up to 18 early in the second, but the Titans have cut it to 1 with 8:25 remaining.

At the half, IWU trails Franklin, 35-33.  As Q predicted in his write-up of the game, IWU has more TOs (7 to 4), but is NOT so far compensating by getting more rebounds (Franklin leads, 17-13).  Good shooting is keeping them close, as they are 11 of 20 from the field.

Mr. Ypsi

IWU trails, 62-59, with 1:56 remaining.  Franklin's Gunner Erwin seems well-named: he is 10 for 17 from the field, including 4 of 8 from downtown.

iwu70

IWU up over WC, 23-13, about 9 minutes of the lst half.

At the half:

Augie 48
NPU 30

Augie is clicking on all cylinders offensively. The Doggies are 7-10 from downtown, opening the inside game even more than it already would've been open, what with AC's size advantage. The Doggies are shooting 53% from the field, and have collected nine offensive rebounds.

Zach Cassita, Aaron Weaver, and Chris Benjamin have seven apiece for North Park. Nic Hoepfner, Danielis Jurgutis, Brandon Thompson, and Mark Roth each have eight for Augie.
