Jerell Tribble is a Klingon from the free-throw line. His two freebies make it BU 63, NCC 59, with :19 left.

Now BU star forward Cameron Snelling has just fouled out.

With five minutes to go in the first half, Elmhurst trails host UW-LaCrosse, 27-24. The Bluejays fell behind big early, 14-2, but they've since righted the ship and the Eagles' lead has fluctuated between 3 and 5 for some time now.

Halftime in LaCrosse:

UW-LaCrosse 37
Elmhurst 26

After making it a close game for much of the second half, Elmhurst faltered in the last five minutes as the Eagles went on a 10-0 run to go up by 13. A pair of Christian Dillon FTs with three seconds left cut the UWL lead to its current 11.

Elmhurst is only shooting a woeful 29% from the field (9-31), compared to UWL's 47% (14-30). The 'jays are 1-8 from beyond the arc, while the Eagles are 5-13. EC is a perfect 7-7 from the line, and the hosts are 4-7.

The 'jays are holding their own on the glass, in spite of giving away a lot of size to the Eagles, as they hold a 21-19 bulge in that department, and they've picked up 10 O-rebs to UWL's 6. However, Elmhurst has turned it over two more times than has UWL.

UWL blocked six shots in the first half, and one has to wonder if 6'9 Andy Merklein and 6'6 Kurt Kincaid are forcing the 'jays to redirect a lot of their shots.

Dustin Bainter leads Elmhurst with five points, and Zack Boyd has five boards.

Elmhurst on a 15-6 run.  Bluejays trail UWL, 51-45, with 13:12 to go.

UWL 51, EC 45, 12:52 left.

This is as close as the 'jays have come in quite awhile. UWL was up by 15 early in the half.
