Q is listening to the broadcast via my phone.  Anyone else need the updates?

augiefan

Yes, updates are needed since Live Stats is not working on the Wheaton-IWU game. Last I checked NPU was up 2 on Elmhurst and Augie and Carthage are both ahead by double digits in their games..

augiefan

To be more specific:

NPU up 53-47 with 3:20 to go; Carthage up 72-56 with 4:30 to go and
Augie up 55-43 with 4:28 to go

magicman

Wheaton up 64-62 with 23 seconds to go.

IWU goes up 65-64 with 12 sec left but Wheaton's Jahns hits a basket with 1 sec left and Wheaton wins 66-65.

IWU was down 64-58 with 53 secs left when Sexauer hits a jumper. Wheaton turns it over and fouls Jordan Zimmer who hits 2 ft's to make it 64-62. Wheaton turns it over again and Sean Johnson hits a trey to give IWU the lead with 12 secs remaining, setting the stage for Andrew Jahns winning drive for the game-winner with 1 sec left.

actually it was Panner who drove the lane with less than 4 seconds left on the clock and missed the fade away but Jahns was cutting baseline and the rebound fell to him and he put it back up at the buzzer. Wheaton escapes again.

Carthage and Millikin are knotted up at 11 with nine minutes to go in the first half.

Carthage leads Millikin, 14-13, with 5:25 to go in the first half. Thus far, this looks like the kind of slow-down, defense-oriented game Millikin likes.

CC timeout. Millikin's now up, 19-14, with three and a half minutes to go in the half. I can just picture Bosko turning purple and barking half-intelligible exhortations at his players.
