NPU has cut the lead to 15, but it's getting late -- only 3:48 left.

65-60 Wheaton with 4:38 remaining.  Someone needs to step up on offense without Raymond.

Potential 3 pt play for Wiele.  Huge play as Wheaton offense was floundering a bit.  67-60 Wheaton  2:36 remaining.

Huge bucket from Wiele.  69-60 Wheaton with just over a minute remaining.  Wheaton should hang on... but loses Raymond.

Wheaton not playing too smart right now.  Under a minute remaining and they get a 5 second in-bound violation, then quickly foul Augie with only 1 second going off the clock.  The clock is your friend!

Then Wiele misses 2 FT's.  75-69 with 12 seconds left.

After listening (and in this case watching) some other d3 broadcasts, I have to say that the Wheaton announcers have to be some of the best I have heard.  They sound knowledgeable and keep a level of professionalism and impartialness that you just dont seem to see in announcers at this level.  In some other broadcasts I have listened to recently, its almost unbearable to listen to because its like having to get play-by-play from the biggest homer in the gym.  Either way, congrats on the win for Wheaton (hopefully Raymond isnt hurt too bad) and good job by the announcers.

Wheaton wins 79-71.  Big news is Raymond goes out of the game (into the locker) with an apparent ankle injury.

Except for five very brief ties, Carthage has led the entire first half -- but never by more than eight points. Wesleyan is outshooting the Red Men in all three categories, but the hosts have a slight lead over IWU in rebounds and have committed three fewer turnovers than the visitors.

NCC, too, has led most of the way except for one brief tie. The Cards have led by 7-to-11 points most of the way. Both teams are knocking down shots at a blistering pace; NCC is at .652 (15-23) from the field and .500 (3-6) from downtown, and the Cards haven't attempted any free throws. MU is .600 (12-20) from the field, .333 (1-3) from beyond the arc, and 1.000 (3-3) at the charity stripe. Millikin leads the rebounding battle by two -- there have been only 16 rebounds in the entire game thus far -- but the Big Blue have turned the ball over two more times than has NCC.
