Chicago's picking it up a bit at the offensive end, but the Maroons still trail big, 48-32, with just under 12 minutes left. McCrary has 13 for Wheaton, while Panner and Schulze each have 10. Chicago's a one-man show tonight, as Steve Stefanou has 12 points and 10 boards. The trio of Chicago guards that forms the core of the Maroons' attack -- Jake Pancratz, John Kinsella, and Mike Sustarcic -- only have six points (and five fouls) between them.

Chicago's making a game of it. It's 53-40, Wheaton, with nine minutes left.

Wheaton 61, Chicago 49, with 5:11 remaining. McCrary has 17 and 13 for Wheaton; the two Maroons bigs, Stefanou and Tom Williams, have been hampered by fouls. Stefanou has four, and Williams just fouled out.

The Thunder can't dance, but they sure can play basketball.  Well, wait, did they change the rule?  I think Wheaton allows dancing, but only a limited number of campus-sponsored events.

They can dance now, but I'll bet that they aren't any good at it. ;)

Wheaton's got this one wrapped up in a bow. It's 71-54, with under a minute remaining.

NPU and TIU tied at 75 at the end of regulation. NPU messed up their last possession with a chance to win the game in the final seconds.

Vikings win in OT.  Trinity went up by five right away in OT but North Park scored 8 unanswered and held on for the victory.

Calvin led Carthage 40-32 at the half, but the RedMen came storming back and led by 9 with under 8 to go.

Carthage currently leads by 2 with 4 and a half to go.  Steve D has 25.

carthage loses 72-69 after being up by 8 or 9 in the second half.

You're too quick for me! ;)

Steve D finished at 25, but was neutralized by Calvin's John Mantel, who had 24 with 9 rebounds.  As expected, this game went to the wire.

A really tough loss after a great comeback. Not a good start to the weekend

Hope over Wheaton 36-20 at the half. CCIW could go 0-2 tonight against the MIAA.

augiefan

Wheaton just needs a U of I type comeback in the 2nd half. Or perhaps a comeback like Utah had against Illinois. It can be done.

petemcb

Hope up 48-24 in the second!  About 14 to go.

magicman

Hope still up by 21, 58-37 with 9 mins. to go.
