In King Arena, Elmhurst's three-point shooting woes continue, as they haven't made a trey yet. But the 'jays have only attempted two. Wheaton, on the other hand, is 5-11 (45%) from downtown. That's on top of 52% from the field. EC's doing about as well as ever from the field (44%), but the 'jays are a miserable 5-12 from the line, where Wheaton is 5-9.

Wheaton is killing the diminutive 'jays on the boards, 19-12, and has six turnovers to EC's ten. No wonder it's almost a 2-1 game in terms of points scored.

Tim McCrary has 14 points and John Shackelford has 13 for Wheaton. Ben Panner didn't attempt a single shot and only played five minutes, as he picked up two quick fouls. Dustin Bainter has eight points and Zach Boyd has four for Elmhurst. No other Bluejay has more than two.

Bizarrely, the AC @ NCC game appears to be a defense-free zone, which is the opposite of what you'd expect. Augie's shooting 62%, North Central's shooting 63%. Both teams have hit half of their treys (Augie's 6-12, North Central's 2-4). Augie's 1-3 from the FT line, NCC's 9-13. The Cards have two more rebounds and four fewer turnovers, which balances out the trey discrepancy.

Derek Raridon has 13 points and David Twyman has 12 for the Redbirds. Augie is paced by Matt Pelton's 12 points and Kyle Nelson's 10.

Both games are now underway again. Wheaton has increased its lead to 44-21 with 17:23 left, while Augie has taken a 45-42 lead over NCC with 18:09 left.
