Big shot by Collins to end the half.  Someone here said he'd probably hit some of those this year. ;)

The big stat in this game is, obviously, rebounding. The Titans have garnered 24 caroms, the Vikings only 11. IWU's turned the ball over 7 times to NPU's 5, but that still means more possessions -- and more shots -- for the hosts. Wesleyan's an en fuego 18-31 (58%) from the field and 7-15 (47%) from downtown, while NPU is 15-28 (54%) from the field and 3-7 (43%) from long range.

The Vikings are not helping themselves from the FT line, as per usual, where they're only 5-11 (45%). The Titans are 3-6 (50%) from the charity stripe.

North Park is led in scoring by Emmanuel Crosby's 11 points and Ro Russell's 7. Illinois Wesleyan is paced by Jordan Zimmer's 12 points and Doug Sexauer's 9.

Yes, indeedy. And did you notice that Jorge Gonzalez got into the game in the first half? I wonder if Mark's gonna keep complaining that Brenegan won't play "Joe Gonzalez"? :D

Mr. Ypsi

18 of 21 WOULD be en fuego!  Actually, it is an excellent, but less spectacular, 18-31.

Previously noted and corrected by myself, Chuck. ;)

In terms of fouls, Sexauer and Ryan Connolly have two fouls apiece for IWU and Davone Robinson has two for NPU, so that's not much of a factor yet. Both teams barely got into the bonus in the first half, so this crew is not blowing a lot of whistles.

One thing about the Sidearmstats software -- it seems to lock up a lot.

Damn free throws are killing the Vikings, too.  Beigie misses the chance to finish a 3 point play.

Robinson picks up his 3rd foul.

51-42 IWU.  Tough momentum swing there.

So says the momentumeter.

Rebounding edge is now 34 to 18.  Miserable.
