Final in Kenosha: Carthage 80, IWU 55.

Curious: the RedMen never went to the bench, even in garbage time.  Only 8 players ever saw the court, compared to 14 for the Titans.

Johnson had 25, Sexauer 9, no one else over 5.  FIVE RedMen reached double figures.

Great day for Carthage - they upset the #1 ranked Titan women, then take over first place among the men.
Ypsi when you look at their full season stats Carthage is pretty much a 8 man team.

Granted, but up 20 with 2 or 3 minutes left, I would think you'd want to reward some players for all their practice time.

On the other hand, Bosko has far more rings than I do, so I guess I won't second-guess the guy! ;)

Who'd a thunk it?  3 1-point games at halftime, and Elmhurst(!) the only team with a sizable lead! :o

And it was the front end of a 1 and 1.  That's huge.

Final IWU 92 North Central 85

Stuck at home with illness today. This is probably the first NPU @ Wheaton game I've missed in about fifteen years. Fortunately, the WETN television feed comes in nicely on my computer.

Wheaton leads the Vikings at the half, 30-24. Wheaton has done a fine job of extending its defense to force the Vikings to go further on their penetrations, and the Vikings have not responded with any cutters across the lane to exploit the stretched Wheaton D. Gonzalez leads NPU with five, McCrary leads WC with eight.
