Ah....and really everyone has won at least one game of some ilk...so there's balance. At least I say there is.

Next best thing (well, not exactly)...unbeaten in conference play...counted 3 teams as of last nite...Husson, Salem State and Maryville (Tn)

Ryan Scott (Hoops Fan)

Maryville doesn't really count, do they?  There's only two other teams in their conference.

Husson is for real though, a solid mid-range team in an awful conference.

Actually, the GSAC is a whoppin' four teamer. Woo-hoo... :-\

Salem State, I bet, can run the table there.

Right, right.  I knew they booted Fisk, but I always forget Piedmont.

For the record, Fisk resigned from the GSAC before any vote on expulsion.
took place.   Since Fisk left the GSAC the GSAC is that Great Sorry A$$ Conference!

Easy to miss amongst all the conference championships, but our 2 final WAD3 teams finished up their seasons as Co Champions of DIV 3  -  Winless against DIII  -  Crown got crushed in the UMAC tourney, Green Mountain loses close to Mitchell 64-60  :-[ :-[
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

So now that the real season has ended.....always fun.

Who's are frontrunners for next year.   :P

hopefan

Brings out the question - if youre oh for the 06/07 season, is it better to have everyone coming back next year, or to have everyone graduating???

How about graduating your best player, who led your team in scoring and rebounding.

You needed OT to beat Grace Bible
Your other two wins came against Kzoo and Olivet

I have Alma squarly in the crosshairs as a pre-seson bottom 10 candidate. ;)

Well, let's just take a gander at some contenders using the bottom of my power rankings.

Green Mountain - Only one junior. The rest are frosh and sophs. I think they could get a couple next year. They do play Mitchell. But, they are always a CONTENDER.

Principia - They graduate two seniors. Recruiting is always a challenge, but the SLIAC isn't that daunting.

Bard - Any team losing to Cal Tech is definitely a contender. But they only had one senior on the roster and he just played 10 games. And the NEAC has a lot of tomato cans.

Crown - They couldn't win a game in the UMAC. Uh-oh. They are only graduating one player, their second leading scorer and leading rebounder. CONTENDER.

D'Youville - Two seniors leave that started some games. The weakenss of the NEAC will lead to a couple of wins.

Mt. St. Vincent - Mostly freshmen on the roster with just two juniors. They always have Green Mountain on the schedule, right? Plus, Centenary is in their league.

Centenary - Two starters leave, but Alex Kuchar will be a junior and he himself could shoot them past a couple of teams.

Maine - Presque Isle - I think they have just one senior, and they play Green Mountain, too. But you never know, perhaps many of these Owls don't give a hoot. CONTENDER

Albertus Magnus (Pelkowski) - The dregs of the GNAC do face Danny Webster and had just one senior, a starter. That's not a daunting league, so they could win a game or three easily.

Maranatha Baptist - They didn't exactly jump into a cupcake league, though Concordia (Illinois version) and Rockford are weak. Will Rockford be around next year? They lose two starters, one full-time and one part-time starter. The funny thing is that they're the #3 seed in the NCCAA Midwest Regional. Now that's some quality. CONTENDER.

Eastern Nazarene - They didn't beat Anna Maria, but beat Wentworth and Bob Williams. They lose their leading scorer and one other senior starter. With Anna Maria around, there is always a chance, but I think they're a CONTENDER.

Becker - They have an honest to goodness proven coach, and the NAC has some cupcakes in Johnson State, Thomas, and Mount Ida. They may be better, in the long run, than that Ted Danson sitcom. No seniors.

Polytechnic - With Bard, D'Youville and Purchase around, I don't think they can't help winning a couple. But they lose five seniors. And the coach is named Laddy, so why not?

Cal Tech - Of course, they're always a CONTENDER. Two seniors graduate, and I need me a "QUANTUM HOOPS" t-shirt!

Mine is on order. :)

Then again, my D3Hoops.com T-shirt has been on order for about 2 months now... [sends negative karma to Charlie Chitwood] >:(

GET YOUR PICK IN FOR THE SURVIVOR TOURNEY POOL

Yeah, basically it amounts to who you think will win the tourney if you don't want to fill out the whole bracket, which of course, I encourage!

Please post your "winner" along with the total score of the final as a tie-breaker.

Enjoy and good luck.

All predictions must be made prior to tipoff on Thursday!
