Like, say, if Oberlin wins, then they have to install a Michigan Man as their new President  (oops!  too late!), or something.  Any ideas?  :)

Too bad Oberlin couldn't find anyone with advanced education?  ::)

Maybe the bet should be the loser has to endure watching the losing team in a game they have no rooting interest in?

All right, so NOW I totally confused on who's betting on what?! ;D

[Yeah, I know - my problem for jumping in on someone else's bet.]

I think the loser should have to watch a tape of the Alma-Oberlin game again and again and again.
Tribes of primitve hunters, with rhinestone codpieces rampant, should build pyramids of Chevy engines covered in butterscotch syrup to exalt the diastolic, ineffable, scintillated and cacophonous salamander of truth which slimes and distracts from each and every orifice of your holy refrigerator.

We're all the losers just for wasting this much time and energy on Oberlin/Alma.  ::)

But for all the rhetoric, I'm actually one of the two (now three) NCAC pick'em'ers who picked Oberlin to win.  Which just about guarantees that they won't.

I traditionally don't pick Oberlin to win anything but a battle of the bands. (And not marching bands.) Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I bet that Oberlin would be right up there competing for the Walnut and Bronze if hacky sack and devilstick were NCAA sports.

The headline in the Brooklyn Daily Eagle sports section no doubt read, Pratt falls; can gain no Purchase.

Texas Lutheran loses to Schriener by 8 to stay winless  -  don't know how the ASC stacks up this year, but Schriener is generally at the bottom  -  we may have a solid candidate for a perfect  imperfect season in Texlu

Games tonight include:

Undefeated Rochester hosts St John Fisher in the battle of the Flour City

The much ballyhooed Oberlin at winless Alma game

Winless Lancaster Bible at Baptist Bible  - is this a heated rivalry  -  do recruits decide between these two schools?

Winless Kalamazoo at IU southeast  -  I can never keep up with who is good amonst these directional NAIA or USCAA teams....

The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

Actually Schreiner seems to be pretty good this year.

(That is a hard place to play.)

They only lost to D-2 Incarnate Word by 8, the same team that beat #5 UMHB by 12.

St. Mary's in Minnesota is in the throes of depression on campus (perhaps).

Then men are now 0-8 and 0-4 in the MIAC. Their next game in December 22 against D-1 Loyola of Chicago. Ulp.

The women are 0-6 and 0-4 in the MIAC and don't play again until January 2.

Both the men's and women's hockey team have losing records as well.

Just let these teams win one game, is that asking too much!?

All is quite on this thread as the schools chug along with finals.  Back to action in a couple weeks...

NOOOO!!!  :o
I mean, YESSSS!!! 8)
I mean, well, I'm not sure what I mean, ??? but Oberlin has vanquished the mighty Alma Scots (who nevertheless "battle[d] hard," according to the Alma website), 62-57.  Alma stays ferpect, while Oberlin wins back-to-back road games for the first time since 1922.  Go Yeo! ;D
