As much as I would love to triumph, the Ephs have SEVEN games before Rochester plays again, including home to dangerous Lasell and Keene St. teams and at Amherst, where they will be an underdog.  Odds looking pretty good for Rochester at this point ...

It's looking grim, but not quite that grim.  Rochester is back in action at the Chase tournament on Jan. 9 (for some reason, the Chase is not part of their schedule as listed on this site), and that's before the Amherst (Jan. 12) and Lasell (Jan. 15) games.  Williams does have 5 games before Rochester's next game, but only Keene St. (Jan. 2) looks dangerous, and that game is at Williamstown.

The Williams/Amherst game is on the same date as the Chase Tournament championship game; this contest could come down to which game ends first!  :)

Mr. Ypsi

The lists are shrinking at a record clip: Ursinus 87, Immaculata 77.

Either Mr. Ypsi or the d3hoops scoreboard is mistaken. The scoreboard says Immaculata remains undefeated, 87-77 over Ursinus. Looks like their competition has been pretty weak so far. If they beat Rowan Friday night I will be at their next game on 12/29 at Randolph-Macon. Rowan is 8-1 against what appears to be a bit tougher competition. I think Immaculata's undefeated streak will end with one of their next 2 games.

It appears that the big opportunity for an Alma win vs Marygrove was cancelled some time in the past  -  the game does not show up on the schedule on Alma's website....

I'm not so sure that game ever existed, Kalamazoo has the game with Marygrove after christmas.

Alma's opportunity comes next week with Finlandia in their tournament, the other two are Davenport and Purdue-Calumet.  Although from the WIAC board a couple mentions makes me believe Finlandia is much better than in the past.

Not only that, but isn't the Chase known for surprises?

I wouldn't trust the scoreboard 100%, it shows John Jay beating NJCU on 12/12 when NJCU won the game.

Also I would question whether Rowan has really played a tougher schedule yet.  They have only played three decent teams and lost to one of them NJCU of course they did beat Brockport, but even though it counts I don't give much weight to the first game of the season.  Most of the schedule is made up of schools like Baptist Bible and Mother Catherines sisters of the blind.  Typical early season Rowan BB schedule, pad the record with weak teams before the NJAC season really starts.

Come to think of it, perhaps my previously undiagnosed score-dyslexia explains how I can still be a Lion's fan. ::)

I'm sure that they'd have both games on in Vegas, waiting to see which bet would pay off first. At the Sands, a lot of money is on the Ephs, but the cash at Caesar's is on Rochester.

And Tuesday, Jerry Vale is in town.

Doesn't Puget Sound have a game with a D2 that needs to be rescheduled?  If so it might be an early exit.

If not, I like their chances over Coast Gaurd who has 2 tough games on the 9th and 14th of January.  Stevens I'm not sure about, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot in front of them that should scare them.
