So Lincoln Christian's provisional status doesn't count as a d3 team?

Didn't Lincoln Christian basically withdraw, though?

I think that is what I remember.

The sad thing about that is that they filled a lottery slot that another team could have used!

THE WINLESS  (3)
Rockford loses to MSOE      How Rockford has fallen - very successful program through 2006, fell horribly in 2007, worse yet this year.  Closest game was 4 point loss to Beloit, but have been pretty much out of all others.   Best chance for a win may be Marantha Baptist, but they lost to then by 14 first time around.

Denison loses to Wabash    This team is usually at the top of the bottom group of NCAC teams - could always count on wins over Oberlin, Hiram Kenyon  -  but not yet this year.  Closest loss was 5 points at Oberlin, still get them at home

Colorado College plays at Rhodes today     This team has been on a downhill fall since 2004 when they were 15-10.  Closest loses were Friday night at Birminghan So by 2, and earlier to Hendrix in double OT.  They get Hendrix again, as well as Austin, to whom they lost by 7 the first time around.

THE WINLESS VS D3 (5)
Northland BEATS Martin Luther to get their first D3 win
Mitchell BEATS Lyndon St to get their first D3 win
MacMurray loses to Fontbonne
Maine Presque Isle loses to Maine Maritime
Delaware Valley loses to Wilkes
Franciscan  -  off this weekend
Lancaster Bible loses to Keystone   -   BY 1    :'( :'(

The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

Rockford's budget issues may be affecting athletics.

Kenyon is a contender for 2nd in the NCAC this year, and Hiram and Oberlin are better. Best chance for Denison is against Earlham, I think.

Colorado College joined a good conference at the worst time.

Didn't Colorado College make the tourney in 2004 as an Independant with a 15-10 record?

Log Show, what is so neat about this web site is all of the archival data that we have !

Please follow me.

Click on the front page.   http://www.d3hoops.com/

Look down the right side rail.

Find "Playoffs" and click on it.         (  http://www.d3hoops.com/archives/ is the URL.)

Find 2004 under the men and click.

When you get to the page, find the place where it says "pairings" and click.

You are right!  That is the same year that University of Dallas at 13-12 got a Pool B bid, too.

+1 for remembering that!  :)

Mr. Ypsi

Yeah, I well-recall the grumbling (to be euphemistic!) that year as 20-win teams failed to get pool C bids!  Was that also the time that the term "Bumblin' Bs" was coined, or does that date back even further?

I thought that the Bumblin' B's came from the 2002 playoffs when Cazenovia lost as a #12 seed to the #5-seed Williams, 121-49.  :)

Definitely, Bumbly!  ;)
