I will proudly accept the honor of originating the term 'the Bumblin' B's' on these pages -though I don't know how long ago  -  I thought of it because a big HS rival back in the 60's were the Buzzin' Bees of Mercer (Pa) High School  when I got addicted to D3 hoops and the B Bids came out, it was a natural......  Maybe Pat could confirm in the archives??

Delaware Valley falls off the winless vs D3 list, beating Penn State Berks last night!!!!

Maine Presque Isle CRUSHES non D3 Unity, 93-63, but stays on our winless vs D3 list

Franciscan retains it's position on our winless vs D3 list, losing to Mt Aloysius.

Undefeated  -  UMass Dartmouth

Winless  -  Rockford, Colorado College, Denison

Winless vs D3  -  Lancaster Bible, Franciscan, Maine Presque Isle, MacMurray

Note that MacMurray plays a SLIAC game vs Blackburn this Wednesday - though it's at Blackburn, Mac has a real shot at winning.

While Alma already fell off our winless list last week, I thought they deserved a shout-out for taking 11-5 Albion to OT tonite.  If they can keep that going, they may get 3-4 more wins before the season ends.

8-25 vs Calvin loss
8-24 vs Tri-State loss
15-31 vs Olivet WIN
8-26 vs Hope loss
7-25 vs Adrian loss
14-34 vs Albion overtime loss

The Scots have just 2 home games remaining, both winnable if they shoot like tonight and one of those home games is vs Tri-State who they lost to by 1.

MacMurray beats Blackburn to fall off the winless vs D3 list!!!! Our lists are dwindling rapidly

Undefeated    UMass Dartmouth

Winless   Rockford,  Colorado College

Winless vs D3  Franciscan,  Lancaster Bible,  Maine Presque Isle

Let's take a look at how each of these teams could fall off the list:

U-Mass Dartmouth - road trip to Tufts and Keene State and a home game against Rhode Island College could mean trouble. I'd say it's a 33% chance they stay unbeaten. Conference play can be wacky, so another team could get them.

Rockford - They have a home game against Maranatha that look promising. Well, it's their most promising. i think they're hosed. 80% chance of going winless. Sad to say, but true.

Colorado College - The best chances are on the road at Sewanee and Austin. Sewanee is winless in the SCAC, but that's a road trip. 67% chance to going winless.

Franciscan - Oh, the Barons. Those provisional Barons. The pride of Steubenville. They have just three games left against D-3 members. They won't beat Thiel or Musky, but have a chance against Mt. Aloysius. A chance, I said. 75% chance of winless against D-3.

Lancaster Bible - They have four games left against D-3. But three look winnable with Marywood, Del Valley and Philly Bible on the docket. I say they'll take one of those three. 25% chance of winless vs D-3.

Maine - Presque Isle - Hoot for the Owls! Two games left against D-3. Thomas and Newbury never make anyone shake in their shoes, but I can't see the Owls doing much on these roadies. They should save up everything for the rematch against Machias. 80% chance of winless against D-3.

Great analysis!  I just can't see UMD making it all the way through conference play without a blemish...like I said earlier, my gut feeling is telling me that the away game at Keene St. will end UMD's run at perfection.

If anyone is looking to see a good basketball atmosphere up in New England, it won't get much better than the UMD vs. Keene St. game Feb. 9th.

Especially if UMD can hold out their undefeated streak until then.
