Now that I think of it...why did they just schedule UC-Santa Cruz.  They seem to be looking for games since they will play Whitworth and Whitman twice.  They will play anybody   :)

well, the season winds down and a couple of our remaining teams made valient efforts in the last several days, but failed to leap off our list.

As noted earlier, UMPI finishes their season winless vs D3

Franciscan is the 2nd team to end their season winless vs D3, losing to Mt Alousius by only 6

Lancaster Bible loses to Marywood by one  -  but has one more opportunity to get off the winless vs D3 list when they play Philly Bible on Friday.
Note, Philly Bible is 3-19!!!!

Rockford at 0-24 has one game left - with Edgewood

Colorado College at 0-22 has Southwestern and Trinity at home this weekend.
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

winless VS. D3 is bad...but not nearly as bad as going O-fer for the entire year.

Mr. Ypsi

Colorado College UP by 1 w/ 1:29 remaining!

Mr. Ypsi

OUCH!  Colorado College 71, Southwestern 72.  So close! :(

When you haven't won it's tough to figure it out down the stretch.  CC had a lead of 7-9 points in last 5+ minutes, but just couldn't get the ball in the basket when it counted.

True...they don't know how to capture a game and win it

Lancaster Bible wins over Philly Bible  63 - 59!!!!!!!!!  With the win, they fall off the winless vs D3 list!!!

The season ends with 2 on the 'coveted' list :
this room's favorite team  Maine Presque Isle   and Franciscan U

The winless list of two  (how sad for Colorado College), CC and Rockford, both have one game remaining, with victory highly unlikely....
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

Rockford finishes at an imperfect 0-25, losing to Edgewood, 80-66

Colorado College finishes 0-24, losing to Trinity Texas, 69-63

Not sure of Colorado College's streak as their results of 06-07 did not come up on their site or this site, but Rockford lost their last 9 in 06-07, and are therefore sitting on a 34 game losing streak.

Well folks, it's a wrap-  I enjoyed following our perfect and imperfect teams through the season, though was disappointed that the traffic diminished towards the end of the year - I guess it's to be expected as interest zooms in the conference standings and B and C pools!!!!

Franciscan, Colorado College, Rockford, and especially UMPI  -  hang in there  -  we love ya - you have acheived something of a cult status on these pages!!

BRING ON 08-09!!!!

Well only 2 winless teams isn't too bad!

Maybe next year there can be a few more undefeated teams deeper into the season.  I did enjoy keeping tabs on UMD.

Looking forward to this board next season!

Colorado College beat UC Santa Cruz in the last game of the 2007 season.

CC 79, UCSC 63

If UMPI played a full NAC schedule, it would be hard not to win a game.
