Time to revive this board

I've noted a handful of teams with 2 or fewer games against D3 (including Linfield, with no D3 games to date).

Unbeaten

Washington U.
Ithaca
Elms
Carnegie Mellon
New York University
UW-Platteville
Texas-Dallas
Amherst
DeSales
Franklin and Marshall
St. Thomas
Wheaton (Ill.)
Millikin
St. Joseph's (L.I.)

Unbeaten vs. D3

LeTourneau
St. Vincent
Pacific (2-0)
Puget Sound (2-0)
Linfield (0-0)

Winless

Staten Island
Buffalo State
Macalester
Knox
Medgar Evers
CCNY
Chicago
Castleton State
Morrisville State
Suffolk
Polytechnic
Bard
Crown
Westminster (Pa.)
Caltech

Winless vs. D3

Thiel
Maranatha Baptist
Blackburn
Presentation
Principia
Goucher
Maine-Presque Isle
Philadelphia Bible
SUNY Cobleskill
Randolph
Lewis and Clark (0-1)
Hope (0-2)
Calvin (0-2)
Clermont (0-2)
Linfield (0-0)

How many people do you think thought we would be sitting here on December 20 and Chicago would be on the winless list?

Wow; this got started early this season.  I'm glad it's not my responsibility anymore.

Winless

Polytechnic
Caltech

Jan. 5: Polytechnic (0-9) @ Caltech (0-8)

Polytechnic is idle until they play Caltech. The Beavers play Amherst on Dec. 31 and Babson on Jan. 2, and they'll certainly lose both of those games. I plan to be there to watch the Battle of the Beatens. The last Skyline Conference team to play at Caltech was Bard, which lost 81-52 on Jan. 6, 2007, snapping CIT's 207-game losing streak against D-III teams.

12/20 Westminster PA 92, Thomas More 80; Westminster is 1-9.

12/27 Lewis and Clark 85, Christopher Newport 79; L&C ges to 1-1 in D3.

12/29 UW-Whitewater 69-58 LeTourneau (1st loss vs. D3)

12/29 Staten Island 89-83 Nazareth (1st win)
12/29 CCNY 64-58 Gallaudet (1st win)

12/29 Calvin 91-65 Geneva (1st win vs. D3)

And on successive days, Linfield plays its first two D3 games and drops off of both lists.

12/28 Ohio Northern 67-57 Linfield
12/29 Linfield 79-60 FDU-Florham

UW-Platteville loses to St. Norbert 70-68

The scores from yesterday have been corrected, and CCNY lost to Gallaudet, so they're back on the list (following it up with a 32-point performance in yesterday's loss).

Two unlikely undefeated teams win close ones to stay that way...

Franklin & Marshall 78 TCNJ 74

St. Joseph's (L.I.) plays Montclair State (7-3) in Orlando on Sunday.  Franklin & Marshall hosts Susquehanna (7-3) tomorrow.

Leg #1 on the Abilene Death March (  :D ) and UT-Dallas loses to McMurry, 63-61.

UTD plays across town at HSU on Monday night.

That is a big win in the ASC.

Mr. Ypsi

Millikin's magical run came to a conclusive ending, as York (NY), despite a 2-10 record, crushed them by 20.  Since MU was picked for last in the CCIW in the coach's pre-season poll, a 10-0 start was quite unexpected.

Hugenerd

Chicago still winless, as they finished their non-conference schedule 0-11.  They lose by 4 to MSOE.  Up next for Chicago: WashU.
