Millikin's magical run came to a conclusive ending, as York (NY), despite a 2-10 record, crushed them by 20.  Since MU was picked for last in the CCIW in the coach's pre-season poll, a 10-0 start was quite unexpected.

... and the Big Blue didn't even make it that far, as MU won its first eight before succumbing to York (NY).

Chicago's mysterious and woeful winless streak continues, as the Maroons lost yet another nailbiter today, 73-69 to MSOE up in Milwaukee, to drop to 0-11 in their final non-conference contest. Since the next game for the Maroons is against Wash U next Saturday, it'll be an uphill battle for Chicago to climb out of the winless ranks.

It looks like hosting Emory and CWRU on Jan 16th and 18th will be the best chances of the season for the Maroons.

Those are definitely two winnable games.  You never know, if they sweep that weekend they might pick up some momentum going into the rest of the UAA season.

I'll guarantee that Chicago does much better than 2-12 in the UAA, Ralph.

I'm willing to wager you would have also guaranteed they'd be better than 0-11 in their non-conference schedule.

Ithaca goes to 10-0. Somewhere, the football team is jealous. The Curse of Jeff Bostic lives!
