Thanks magicman  :-*

Let's be serious. If I somehow magically outlast these guys given the strength of the CCIW compared to MIAC, and despite the injury of Kent Raymond, I deserve the prize. :P

No, you totally do, but with my track record I know this is my only shot to ever be close to winning, so I'm fighting like a cornered wolverine for this one.

I don't think forfeits should affect their status here...
really? i do... the whole point of the forfeit is that they might have lost...

Games are played on the court. Realistically, except for the Oberlin situation a few years back (where they had to forfeit their entire season because their best player was ineligible) I don't think many ineligible player rulings truly affect the games being played. Half the time in high schools, it's some scrubnee.

pabegg,

Morrisville St. was off the winless list as they beat Medgar Evers back on Jan.10th.

Chance for Macalester to win their 1st tonight at home against St Mary's(Minn.) Only lost to them 67-65 back in early December at St.Mary's.

Principia may not have much of a basketball program, but they've got one of the most beautiful campuses I've ever been on.  Totally wooded campus on a bluff above the Mississippi River.  The security guard who let us drive around the campus said to be wary of the deer - there were dozens of them roving the grounds.
I am determined to be wise, but this was beyond me.

Thanks for those words Dennis - I've seen every SLIAC campus BUT Prin, simply because there is always a more competitive meaningful game to go to than one involving Prin - maybe I should rethink my schedule for one of the upcoming Saturday afternoons and make it over there....
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

Alton, which is 10 miles south, is one of the most historical towns in Illinois.

The entire town of Elsah, which lies in a gorge beneath the college is on the national register of historic places.

The road from Alton to Elsah is one of the few place on the entire Mississippi River where you can drive right next to the river.

And HF wins it by a victory by the team he ranked #8 in the Posters' Poll! :o

[I'll stand by my comments on that board, but they may slip back into my top 25 - it was me who kept them from being completely shut out the first week!]

Good job Hoops Fan. You're #1 and your pick will most likely be #1 as well, unless St Olaf spoils the party on Saturday afternoon.

I believe that both CCNY and Medgar Evers will be winless going into their game.  It's a shame that with all the talent in NYC that these two schools cannot field competitive teams
