Sorry Greg but Franklin & Marshall falls to Lebanon Valley on a 3 pt buzzer beater 62-59. The Survivor Pool has officially been halved.

Mr. Ypsi

Cool!  With Q and Greg fallen, I've already won the key contest as far as I'm concerned - I'm the sole survivor from the CCIW! 8)

Beating the rest of you is just gravy. ;D

Mr. Ypsi

smedindy musta been sweating blood, but the Tommies survive UWRF, 72-71.

I'm happy to bow out under these circumstances, since the annual F&M vs. LVC neighborhood-rivalry contest is the biggest game on the docket every year for esteemed Lebanon Valley professor emeritus and d3boards.com HOFer Warren Thompson.

Gloating over the victory you gained via the downfall of Illinois Wesleyan, Chuck? They're gonna erase you from the alumni rolls for that one. ;)

Was Wooster supposed to play St Thomas the 2nd night of their tourney?  Or did I totally miss St. Thomas losing too?
No, this was the championship game of the tourney.  Wooster actually won last night, over Carnegie Mellon (and UST beat Heidelberg, like a drum).

Wooster lost their opener (right?), that's what I was thinking about!  Thanks.

Wooster lost at Albion, knocking wooscotsfan out of this competition, but that was the weekend before the Van Wie Classic, the tournament where UST schooled the Scots in the championship game.

Thanks for resurrecting these happy memories on Thanksgiving Day!  ;)

On vacation earlier, didn't have computer access for much of the time. Somebody say my name?

This is probably the board I love the most - especially rooting on the winless. Some may say we are mocking, but I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the futile and challenged.

The question is, can the New Jersey Nets win a game before Cal Tech this year?

North Park plays Caltech on the 16th. Considering how awful the Vikings have looked thus far, I'm going to be sweating bullets that night.

Caltech gave Fontbonne a pretty good game last night, but lost 68-60.   Caltech has a player, Mike Edwards, who scored 30 of their 60 points, on 26 FG attempts(over half of the team's attempts).  And it wasn't a one time thing - he's averaging 24 ppg.   The kid is a 6'7" FROSH, who very well could change the fortunes of Caltech hoops if he stays with it.

Incidently - I actually checked out the undefeated and winless after last weekend - we were in the upper 60s in number in both catagories!!!   I very well may print out a list in the next week

The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

hopefan

The list doesn't change on the 28th - Everyone won or was off for the day  -  I'm concerned about My Rochester YellowJacket team today - at 4-0, they have won each of their games by less than 10, and take on a pretty solid Scranton team this afternoon....
