Mr. Ypsi

From 22 entrants, we're down to the final 7.  Congrats, fellow survivors - we're guaranteed to finish in the top third! ;)

I will take a seat next to Old School as Guilford drops a 71-68 decision to Virginia Wesleyan. I might qualify for most improved award though as I lasted for 3 weeks this year. Last year I was the 1st one out.
So what you're saying is there's hope for me next year? ;)

hugenard is still alive as MIT survives Gordon in overtime 78-73. MIT is now 8-0, a record start for the engineers.

By all means, Hope will be there for you next year, I just don't know if that would be a good choice. :D

Oneonta falls from the undefeated list as Plattsburgh travels to the Red Dragon's lair and comes away with a 60-58 victory.

I've now lost my second-chance Survivor, even before anyone has suggested a second-chance Survivor competition!  (It was Wittenberg, thumped today at Hiram.)

David Collinge

You can scratch Wittenberg from the unbeaten list, as the Tigers got blasted at Hiram this afternoon, 92-74.
You can also scratch Denison from the winless list, as the Big Red handled Wabash at home, 78-71.

This season I see possible wins against Rivier and Westminster on the schedule, but if Sager's worried about North Park maybe I'll go see that game, too.

Great. Me and my big mouth. ::) ;)

I'll take Otterbein.

Has anybody noticed how odd it is to see Salem State on the winless list?

I was shocked that they've been as successful as they have been in the oughts.  They've never really been on my radar, but they've been nothing if not consistet this decade.  Up to this year, that is.

Not just this decade, PS. Few people realize it, but Salem State ranks third in all-time D3 tourney appearances, behind Wittenberg and Scranton. Most years you can just write in their name in ink in your D3 tourney bracket before the season even starts. (You can also plan on them being out by the end of the first weekend of play, but that's another matter,) The Vikings have owned the MASCAC, lock, stock, and barrel, winning 23 of the league's 35 regular-season titles in the D3 era, including at least a share of the last 19 in a row.

That's just it.  They haven't made any noise in the dance and they haven't rattled off any ultra-impressive regular seasons either.  I'm just surprised there was a team that had been that successful in the regular season that I really didn't know about after a decade of closely following D-III.
