UMPI lost 133-58.

So what would have been the margin of a UMPI vs. Syracuse game.

And would Boeheim play the walk-ons THEN?

http://goblackbears.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/stats/2009-2010/umumpi.html

70-19 at the half..........maybe someone should have considered playing the walkon's sooner in this one.

I have great faith that UMPI could win a game and the world will never know!

They don't even play basketball; they just lure young athletes there to do strange experiments and then wipe their memories.  Where's Mulder when you need him?

I'd just like to point out that Smed's winless pick, Green Mountain College, won its second consecutive game this evening.  With Paul Smith and Vermont Tech up next, it could be four in a row pretty soon.

Yeah, smed just got confused - he thought he was picking for the original Survivor Pool! ;)

It was a nostalgia pick. You know, like picking the Cubs to win every year.  ;)

Or I was trying to inspire Green Mountain.

Or something...

hugenerd drenched in perspiration as MIT squeaks one out in OT 98-93 over Salem St.

PointSpecial happy right now as his Pointers GET to overtime.

I was at the game, MIT blew multipled double digit leads in the second half (as many as 16) before their freshman point guard carried them in OT.  I was definitely worried when Salem State came all the way back, but it was spectacular to see a freshman do what Mitchell Kates did this early in the season.  MIT essentially ran 1-4 clearouts for him the entire OT and he scored or assisted on 4 of their 5 baskets (MIT was 5-5 from the field in OT, Katz was 3-3).  He also took a charge to seal the victory in the final 1.5 minutes.  MITs other new players also had spectacular lines, Noel Hollingsworth (transfer from Brown), had 30 points on 12-15 shooting and 7 boards; Freshman Wil Tashmen had 20 points, on 7-12 shooting, with 8 boards, and the aforementioned Mitchell Kates had 22 points (10-15 FG).

Is there any way this stupid emoticon can be disabled?  There's about 10,000 more relevant uses in this forum for the number 8 in parentheses than a smiley with cool shades.

Mr. Ypsi

Just re-checked UMPI's schedule - IF they lose to Maine-Maritime, they are then off for nearly a month before playing, you guessed it, Maine-Maritime.

Dave, I understand that complaint was directed at D3hoops and not me, but I did do a little edit to get rid of our beatnick friend :D
