Shall we gauge the chances of staying on these lists? We shall...

Winless (5)
Cazenovia   NEAC   EAST - Have a rematch against PSU - Harrisburg, who only beat them by 4. But that's on the road, as are games against Keuka and Morrisville State, who aren't exactly titans. They got crushed by the other teams left on their schedule. If they're going to get a win, it's gotta be on the road.

FDU-Florham   MACF   MA - They have come close against Del Val and Eastern, and have rematches with them down the road. Everyone in the MACF is around .500 except DeSales and the Devils. I bet they get a win or two soon.

Methodist   USAC   SOUTH - This is an off year for them. The USAC is pretty bleah, and they've only played three conference games. I look for a few wins.

Caltech   SCIAC   WEST - One day, they'll beat an SCIAC team. One day. That day won't be this season unless they knock off LaVerne.

Stole some more time:

QuoteUndefeated vs D3 only    (3)

MIT  NEWMAC   NE - The braniacs from planet Smartron have Clark at home. They do play WPI on the road and that could be a definite issue. However, the others in the league don't seem to post a problem.

Eastern Mennonite   ODAC   SOUTH - They play at Guilford later in the year and have a home date with Va. Wesleyan. They have a nice team but I don't think they'll make it through the ODAC unscathed. Of course,
who thought they could blast RMC like they did.

Linfield   NWC   WEST - Tonight at Whitworth may be the end of the line.

Winless vs D3 only    (3)

Alma   MIAA   GL - Lost by 7 to Trine at home. Calvin, Hope, Adrian and Olivet remain on the home docket.
They do play a moribund K-zoo team on the road, but that's they're only shot.

Dickinson   CC   MA - They get cracks at Swarthmore and Haverford at home. They only lost to John's Hopkins by 2. I bet they get one or two before it's done.

Blackburn   SLIAC   MW - Will the Eurkea loss knock all of the fight out of the Beavers? They do get Fontbonne on the road, and Principia at home seems a definite possibility.

I was about ready to add Maine Maritime, but wonders of wonders they beat Green Mountain, at Green Mountain's home opener  (:o) 57-43!

MIT's undefeated against D3 run in danger as they trail Wheaton (Mass) 57-55 with 23 seconds to go.

It's now a final MIT loses to Wheaton (Mass) 60-57 and falls off the Undefeated against D3 list.

With Linfield's loss to Whitworth 79-62 on Friday night and MIT's loss today, Eastern Mennonite wins the crown as the last undefeated vs D3 team in the country.

I'll have to ask my brother-in-law out in Indiana Amish/Mennonite country if a black bonnet indicates descent from the prophet Muhammed. ;)

And that didn't last long, as Bridgewater took down its archrival tonight, 89-83.

hopefan and Mr. Ypsi,
Just a note of interest because we spoke about Paul Smith's College earlier in the year and their matchup with UMaine-Presque Isle. UMPI played Paul Smith's on Saturday the 23rd and won 86-70. It was preceded by a win on Friday night as the Owls took down SUNY Canton 94-90. The Owls now have two 2-game winning streaks this year and improved their record to 4-9. :o

Man, I tell ya - if they still counted as d3 I might have to take 'em for the Survivor Pool next year! :o

toooldtoplay

As MIT and EMU lost on the same day does that count as a tie in the fantasy world championship of undefeated vs. D3? Different time zones would then give western teams a mythical built in advantage!!   >:(

It is not as bad as the Vikings losing on a coin flip.
