Alma also with a chance to get off the Winless vs D3 list as they take on 4-14 Kalamazoo today.

Kalamazoo beats Alma, 56-53, to keep Alma on the winless vs. D3 list.

......and both teams managed to miss 4 FT's in the final 11 seconds, including Kzoo missing the frontend of a 1-1 that could have sealed it ........ I'm sure Alma's last FT was an intentional miss but still......

That may be a reason they're a combined 8-29 this year. CLANK!

Caltech's 2nd best chance at a win, of their remaining games, as they take on Whittier (1-5 in the SCIAC)

You must be kidding. The Poets will hammer Caltech by 40.

OxyBob

OxyBob,
At least they covered the point spread, as they only lost by 38 :D   103-65

OxyBob
My apologies, I do remember when you first posted that picture a couple of years ago, and actually posted a comment to you about it at that time. And also remember the post in the Skyline conference last year.

So we're down to Cal Tech on the winless list and Alma on the winless vs. D-1 list?

Congrats to Cazenovia for avenging a 100-68 loss to PSU-Berks.

I like the tool that Pomeroy has to assess the chances of a team going winless and projecting its record at any point in time. Massey used to do that as well. (Right now, 0-22 Alcorn St. has a 19.39% chance of going winless, thanks to home games against MVSU and Southern that feature more than a 30% chance of ASU winning; Bryant, who is also 0-22, has an 18.33% chance of going winless.)

With the mediocrity in most of the MIAC, Alma may be able to sneak in a win against the likes of Albion, Trine, Adrian and Olivet.

As for CalTech, until flubber is invented I doubt if they'll have a chance to win a game in the SCIAC. But knowing the brainy guys there - I'm sure they'll think of something!

I would say take a trip east to hit Cazenovia, Philly Bible, and then head up to see Green Mountain and UMPI.

But...UMPI has won 4 of 6!

Its MIAA thank you  ;)..............and Alma won't beat Albion, Adrian or Olivet, they lost the first meetings with those three by 18, 18, 17........maybe Trine but I doubt it, its also on the road.

Well, I said MAY be able to sneak in a win. They have better odds than Cal Tech, right?

You might want to consult Cal Tech students on that one..........

Oh and about that mediocrity in the MIAA..........two teams in the center of that mediocrity own a win over NCAC leader Wooster and another only lost by 7 to OAC co-leader John Carroll in the first game of the year. :)

???
Wooster lost to Albion, but not to either Olivet or Adrian.

And as long as we're all correcting one another, it's "Caltech."   :)

Read a little slower ... Wooster lost to Albion and Olivet lost only by seven to John Carroll.
