Congratulations to Mr Ypsi on picking a great loser   ;D

I can't help pointing out that my Blackburn Beavers only beat Concordia Seminary (graduate students!) by a point.  Otherwise, they are still going weak and we'd still have a contest.  How about converting this contest to "winless versus D3".  Or "winless against four year colleges".  Just kidding.

Shame on me for not having enough confidence in my Augustana Vikings to pick them in the undefeated pool :-[  On the other hand, nobody has gone undefeated in the CCIW since 1973.... This year won't be any different.

Grand Prize in the Survivor Pool

So, Ralph, when can I expect delivery?! :D

Mr. Ypsi,
Why do you think you have won the grand prize? ??? I'm pretty sure that it goes to the winner of the Undefeated Survivor Pool not the winner of the Winless Pool. ;D
Of course since Ralph is providing the prize he gets to pick which winner wins it. ;)

Even though the Sharper Image is no more, yes, there is still a market for goofy, expensive crap.

Some might say there was a University that paid 2.5 million to get rid of a gimmick recently.

If that University had instead invested in a USB Typewriter, today they could at least spell D-E-F-E-N-S-E.

Mr. Ypsi

And nescac1 one bites the dust along with Williams. :(  (Though losing in OT AT Amherst is certainly giving it a great try!)

Hoops Fan barely survives a furious late-game rally by Wabash (the LGs closed out the game on an 11-0 run, falling just short of catching Woo - if there is any validity ever to that old cry "we didn't lose, we just ran out of time", this game would be exhibit A)!  But I guess it still counts for HF - after all, we call it the Survivor Pool. :P

This is not pertinent to this board any longer, unless you consider winless in conference, but Caltech is up by 5 on Pomona Pitzer at halftime.  Could be their first conference win since the 80s and in ~300 games.

Mr. Ypsi

Alas, Caltech couldn't hold on, losing 47-41.  But I think the streak WILL end this season. ;)
