Personally, I would never use the terms  horrible or bad when describing the Caltech team. I would just say that they are not as athletically talented as a team as they are in the classroom. They might challenge you to a game on the moon or Mars,
if YOU can make it there.

Happy Thanksgiving to all, even OxyBob !!!!
+1!  And Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Meanwhile, I wonder if any of the CalTech Hoopsters have the inside skinny on what Curiosity has found on Mars, that NASA is waiting until December to reveal.

Something North Pole related perhaps?

It might be a nefarious plot to infiltrate the opposition for the next great Cal Tech/MIT prank.

Kind of confusing with the Presentation-Central Christian (Mo.) score Friday night. D3hoops scoreboard shows Presentation winning 96-49 but when you bring up the box score it shows Central Christian winning 96-49. The mystery is solved by going to the Presentation website where the announcement is made that Presentation, does indeed, win their first game of the season by that 96-49 score. I think 7express was trying to pull a fast one to stay alive in the winless pool. ;D So another player takes a seat. The box score has the team name posted over the wrong lineup and the line score also has the teams inverted. The play by play is also mixed up. Here's the link to the article:

Presentation win by 47 over Central Christian?... had to check the box score...  wait, it identifies Central Christian as winning, both in the line score and in the individuals.... Houston (Plattsburg), do we have a problem?   Thankfully, no... a check of the Presentation roster shows that indeed, their players were the ones who scored 96 and won, 96-49.... both the line score and the individual scorers have teams misidentified in the box score... at least as of 7:45 AM EST....

so who is this Central Christian... could we find these guys on a future Grinnell schedule in a quest for 250 points, or an individual 175?

We are talking Central Christian College of the Bible in Moberly, Mo, not to be confused with Central Christian College of Kansas located in McPherson, Ks.  They have 360 full time students, 201 are men.  They are members of the Midwest Christian College Conf, NCCAA D2... they are 1-6... their only win against Calvary Bible College...
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

They'd have to go 259 because Troy State got 258 against Devry back in the '80's.  Only gave up 141...

It seems to be fixed now:

But the scary game for Presentation is the 12/13 matchup against...

North Dakota. Yes, members of the Big Sky conference North Dakota.

Ulp.

Yeah, my Titans have kept me alive so far, but I've got a bad feeling about hosting the defending national champs on Tuesday! :P  (I'd have taken MIT if they were still available when I picked just hours after the contest kicked off! ::))

Wow, just tried to peek in at the Oberlin / Francsican game to write something for the NCAC board and the video feed at Franciscan costs $6!

Sac can breathe easier...Oberlin wins 69-57. Franciscan dressed nine and had five foul out. Andrew Fox grabbed 20 defensive rebounds for Oberlin. Yikes.
