And if you go the Blackburn's athletic site, at least today, you get one of those 'poaching' sites. Seems they didn't re-up the domain?

funny you mention that.. I just got one of those corporate bad boy notes trying to go their this morning...I guess the term blackburnbeavers has some 'negative' connotation...  I know they were reachable prior to christmas, so they definitely messed something up....

It was on the Franciscan web site and their D3 page, at least around 10. No box score, just a score was reported (as I think we both said).

I know I'm catching this late but in looking at the Presto log, Franciscan posted it as a win and it stood for 22 minutes before they corrected themselves. Our sites will always show the same score since we both use Presto.

Everytime I semi-praise Oberlin, they bury me...

From the NCAC Board by some poster you know:

QuoteOberlin (4-6) @ Elmira (0-10) - Some of us who frequent the "Undefeated & Winless" board were pointing to this game as a chance for Elmira to get off the schneid. Probably not. The Yeomen have been pretty darn competitive and have won three of four. Oberlin did lose to Earlham, though (albiet early) so this is one that isn't lock stock and barrel cinch. The Soaring Eagles will need a great game and the Yeomen a stinker for this one to go against the NCAC.

Yep. the big game in the SLIAC between my winless pick, Principia, and winless Blackburn, is coming up tomorrow....  originally, I had seen signs that Prin would be a distinct favorite in this game, and that my reign as Winless Champ would be ended, to be turned over to Sac or Hoops fan....  but wait, all hope is not lost... a review of the box scores of non conference games this week gives me some reason for optimism...  While both Blackburn and Prin got thoroughly trounced (BC loses 84-57 to Monmouth and Prin 91-44 to Ill College) I do note that Blackburn has maintained their whole roster from 1st semester (my assumption is that continuity leads to improvement).  On the other hand, in a 47 point loss, Prin played only 6 players, missing leading scorer frosh guard Larry Patterson (15.4 points per game)...   gotta think that while Prin may be evenly matched with BC that the iron man 6 may run out of steam if the game is a close one....and it may be tough to replace that 15 ppg.... ???

Massey has Principia favored by 3 points in the big matchup. The 2 teams have 3 common opponents, Rockford, Illinois College, and Millikin. Blackburn has fared slightly better against all 3 than Prin has, for what that's worth. If they don't have Patterson for the Blackburn game I think you'll be OK. Can't see how they make up for his loss.

Franciscan hosts PSU-Behrend today, Pitt-Greensburg Sunday.

Probably don't have much chance today but they have a real shot Sunday.  Pitt-G beat Franciscan by 10 earlier in December at home, this ones in Steubenville.

I really think my new favorite thing about Franciscan is their twitter account:  https://twitter.com/BaronVonSteubie

That is a killer twitter handle.  Looks like its mostly womens updates but still the supersweetness cannot be denied.
