While it may be a bit excessive here, drafting is fun. I'd play a lot of fantasy football if it was just the drafting ;D

I agree, but drafting one team for a survivor pick is excessive, but I will do it because that's what the people want.

OK, LET'S START AN OFFICIAL LIST

Who's in for the draft this year? Due date to get your name in the hat is THURSDAY, NOV. 7, 10 pm Eastern time. That gives us a full week to get the draft done and then anyone else who wants to play after the draft is finished. Games start Friday, Nov. 15, right?

I'm not going to hold off suspense - I'm picking IWU for undefeated.  Just too much talent there.  All the other big team either have rough early schedules or they're counting on untested players.  I think Wooster's good for some sleeper cred, and St. Mary's would be a great choice if not for their participation in the Hoopsville tournament.

I know IWU is sort of a boring, predictable pick, but I also like to play the odds.

Well, I guess I'll have to hope I draft before you then!  IWU is MY alma mater, not yours! ;D  (Though NO team, including six who won the national title, has made it unscathed through the CCIW in 40 years.)

I'll bite too and make an actually-real pick of Calvin. They're losing three (basically) starters from the Sweet Sixteen team, but they're returning enough talent to make the pre-season rank of #17 legitimate (with the chance of making another run into the Top 10). Hosting #5 Wheaton on December 7 is a date to circle as a possible showdown between unbeatens (not taking for granted that Calvin can get past their local NAIAs on Thanksgiving weekend unscathed).

Greek Tragedy

Apparantly, if I bypass the draft, I can pick who ever I want now and not have to wait???

Nice loophole.

Anyway, I have always felt that having a draft to pick a survivor team was pretty ridiculous, so, I hereby, void the draft process...

Instead, as I originally wanted to do, we will have a date where official picks will be accepted.

No official picks will be accepted prior to FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2013. So, if you want to stay up until 12:00 am and 1 second on Friday morning and be the first to pick, more power to you.

As has always been the case, there is no rule against picking a team that has already been selected. So all of you can choose IWU if you want.

Are there any questions, comments or other suggestions?
