Heck, I was paid in Oatmeal raisin cookies to be a chaperone...

April seems to be the chaperone kind of gal.  I wonder who's been recruited for tonight?

And what kind of cookies they are getting paid with.

Anyway, I hope you two have fun at Oxy tonight, but be home by 11.
hah... you could have sounded like my overprotective real parents and said 10!  :D

well hoops, several years ago, I seem to remember being a third party to a date between the same lovely couple in question --- in St. Louis.. Lunch at a wonderful restaurant, and a ballgame at Wash U
Naa... theoretically wonderful restaurant was closed. We just ate at the "St. Louis thinks it is too cool to call a restaruant by it's chain name" restaurant, aka Panera.  ::)

You underestimate your importance... you know the real reason I came all that was was to meet you right?  ;)

...but OxyBob didn't show up tonight....

:-* :-* :-*   :D

Y'know, I haven't gotten any cookies since St. Louis, but I have had my picture taken with a pair of swamp-encrusted tennies since then.  I take this as a sign that I'm disfavored.  :-\

I've also had my picture made with a Moon Pie and RC, and with a link of Trail Bologna and a bottle of Faygo Redpop.  I guess I'm the Julia Child of this board.  ;D

BTW, Caltech really didn't show up tonight, either.  Oxy toyed with the Beavers, keeping their slim Pool C hopes alive with a 40-something point win.  Caltech, meanwhile, completes yet another in a long line of winless SCIAC campaigns (21+ years now), and graduates three starters.   :(

Oh, and ya'll can stop talking about how stinkin' old I am anytime now...

Anything tastes good with Heinz ketchup and mustard on it, eh?

You're awfully chatty on the boards tonight, DC. I take it this means that the bar exam went well?

Gregory, I am thinking of the song from My Fair Lady... ;) ;D

See, this is exactly why I didn't mention it in the original post.  I've been right way too often lately.  There's a lightning bolt with my name on it somewhere nearby.

If I read this right, DC is OLDER than I am and in Law School? My gosh, he wins some kind of award.

I will go with the Heinz Ketchup, it got me though Scout Camp, Working at a camp, the Navy, College food and my wifes eggs.  The Heinz mustard doesn't cut it with me.  Too many corned beef on rye, hot pastrami on ryes and dirt water hot dogs with good jewish deli style mustard has spoiled me.

Does passing the Bar exam entitle one to a three martini lunch?  Of course in Kali For Knee Yah they would be organic, vegetarian martinis.   :D

Well, now it's just the Larry watch.

Hey, I read in the agate type of the Lafayette paper that CCNY did not renew the contract of their women's hoops coach. Which, considering the season they had, was not surprising.

They probably could have saved money if the team just coached themselves.  I can't see how that would have changed anything.

Here's something to think about:

2005-12-02  Maranatha Bap           68   Emmaus Bib              59
2005-12-09 @ Emmaus Bib              76   Faith Bap               63
2005-12-13  Faith Bap               80  @ Circleville             69
2005-11-18  Circleville             88  @ Roanoke                 72  B
2006-02-11  Roanoke                 84  @ Guilford                73
2005-11-18  Guilford                95  @ Webber                  93
2005-12-11  Webber                  86  @ Savannah St             84  O1
2006-01-21 @ Savannah St             70   Longwood                69
2005-11-30 @ Longwood                88   Liberty                 75
2006-02-20 @ Liberty                 78   Winthrop                71
2005-11-19  Winthrop                71  @ Marquette               64
2006-02-16 @ Marquette               57   Georgetown              51
2006-01-21 @ Georgetown              87   Duke                    84

Transitivity proves that Maranatha Bap is better than Duke.
This 13 game conquering path predicts: Maranatha Bap over Duke by 101 points.

I tried that one in 98 or 99 but the NCAA would not change the record books to show that NJCU lost in the Stagg Bowl not Rowan.  I based it on the fact that NJCU beat Rowan and by using the six degrees of kevin bacon logic then NJCU beat Mt. Union.  Nobody bought it.  I guess the next step is to interfere with the time space continuum to change the records.
