Mr. Ypsi

David,

That is correct (see p. 1).  But I have my doubts that your team (WOOever it may be ;)) will play UCLA (or anyone like them) in anything other than an exhibition!

PrideSportBBallGuy

I think I am going to do this.  Since I don't really care if I win this I will just throw a school out there and hope for the best.  (They better not lose to Salisbury this year in close games like they did last year or I will be done by December 2nd)

My Pick is York(PA)

RULES FROM PAGE ONE

Thought I'd start an official survivor pool this year.  I remember someone having a pseudo pool last year that also involved who would be the last team to win a game, let alone lose a game.

So, here it is.  The rules are simple.  Pick a team that you think will be the last team to lose a game, any game, against any opponent, in any division, even NAIA.  A loss is a loss is a loss (excluding exibitions).  If need be, this will, of course, go into the post season.

I guess that's the only rule of this pool.  Any questions?

Feel free to post your team and I'll try to keep track of everything...hopefully some posters will help me with who loses.  If you want to post a team that you think will be the last to WIN a game, feel free, but someone else can keep track of that!  ;D

Any help is appreciated.

You can pick a team that's already been selected.  It's not a draft.  ::)

There's no money on it.

Remember, it's the last team to lose...regardless of how many wins they have.  It's not the team with the most wins prior to losing.  It's the date.  I remember some people picking Ahmerst (I think) and they had a 20 day break or something like that!

Yeah, but you're definitely cooler than everyone else if you don't go with the crowd by picking a team that other people are picking as well. Originality counts. ;) And I think that you should get style points as well if you pick a team that didn't get any votes in the d3hoops.com preseason poll.

With that in mind, my pick is NYU. Go Fighting Violets ... the mightiest flowers in all of Division III!  :D

I think I'm going to go with Mississippi College this year.

I didn't realize you were worried about how cool people perceived you as, Mr. Sager.  ::) :D

I'm still undecided, but apparently I'm not picking NYU, Wooster, Mississippi College, York (PA) or Ill. Wes.  ;)

I'll take the Maryville College (TN) Fighting Scots this season.

You better pick quick OS if you don't want to duplicate someone's pick, or else you might be stuck with the Pointers, and you'd never want that!!

I'm still trying to decide if I want to be LOYAL or COOL.

To start the season:

At #17 Carroll
At #13 Lawrence
Ripon
At (#27) Oshkosh
at River Falls
#4 Whitewater

I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be loyal.  ;)

I'm not worried about it at all. If people don't think of me as cool, then the problem of perception is obviously theirs and not mine.  ;) :D

The least you could've done was post their games to start...or at least provied a link to their schedule!  :'( ;D

I confess - I haven't even studied their 'preseason' [that's for you, Greg! ;)] schedule.  They ALWAYS play such a tough nonconference schedule, I'm just assuming. ;D
